Just about a month after I bought it, they announced the modded version. Oh well.

Where else can you buy such a versatile gadget that will take you to other worlds anywhere you choose to play it for such a bargain? This instrument is a wonderful addition to my musical collection. The process of natural creativity comes in an exponential upswing. The possibilities are endless!!

The sound is perfect, and true to the classic. The downside is that it has very tight knobs and is limited in its range of octaves. Worth the price? 100%! Could be better? Yes, all too easily. Extended range, smoother knobs, and the full devil fish mod would be ideal. But for the price, I would buy it again, no questions asked.

A well done clone of the original acid machine. The interface is keeping with the way the 303 was programmed, while adding some additional features and benefits, like the ability to program patters via an editor, etc.
Having several original 303’s to compare with, the sound is mimicking the original in a good way, especially as no two originals have the exact same timbre after all these years. I was doubtful if the built in distortion effect would be used much but I find it to be a nice touch.
The ease of use, accessible price point, and good sound makes this one a bargain for anyone wanting to enjoy the 303 experience without paying the price of the original.

This thing is GREAT. I have played it to the point of exhaustion a couple times because it’s just that fun. I don’t have a 303 (or 3000 dollars to get one), but this is very much a worthy substitute. I also like that you can program in patterns using a computer or use an external sequencer or controller over MIDI. The distortion is a nice addition, but even better is the ability to use TD-3’s filter with an outside audio source, but the unit will need to be running either with midi or the internal sequencer or you won’t get sound out. The unit feels plastic-y but it was cheap and has a smiley face so I don’t care. If you want to have fun making squeaky rubbery noises all night than I recommend the TD-3 (in yellow of course)

This lives up to the hype. The oscillators sound great. It’s foolproof setup for fat bass sounds. I never owned a real 303 but I used to play Rebirth 338 a lot and they nail the sound down so well that I want to grab an external keyboard to play basslines into my DAW. I think when the MO gets released I will also get one of those too.

The td3 CE as a pleasant surprise as it is the PERFECT 303 clone. I have made hip hop oriented beats for a few years now but I recently noticed a spike in Acid House music popularity. This is an excellent piece of equipment for people who want to get into synthesizers. Excellent for beginners it only took me 2 or 3 days to figure out how to make it squlech like the classic 80s and 90s Chicago Acid House. Overall super happy with this purchase.
