Playing alone in public sometimes requires you to say something that you don’t want the world to hear. When there isn’t a person managing the audio and it’s just you and your little 2 channel amp, having the ability to go dark is a lifesaver. This mic sounds great and it has the ability to lock it in the on position. Durable, reliable and great sound quality.

Lo compre para reemplazar un micrófono de los modelos más económicos. Este tiene mejor sonido, aisla mejor los sonidos de los lados, es menos propenso al feedback y tampoco transmite tanto el sonido de la mano al sujetarlo. Se siente muy sólido, la esfera rejilla se siente más resistente que la de los modelos económicos, y además es más fácil conseguir reemplazos.
Elegí la versión SM58S que incluye switch. El switch del PGA58 es más bonito, pero al final se trata de funcionalidad. Adjunto una imagen para compararlo con el PG58, el SV200 y el C608, que son modelos económicos.

I’ve been using the Behringer XM8500 mics in my home Karaoke Theater for about ten years, and they’ve been fine. I recently re-purposed those mics for a setup I did at a friend’s house, and I upgraded my setup with a pair of the Shure SM58S mics. The Behringers were half the price, and they are still going strong after ten years, so no complaints … but the SM58S is certainly a worthwhile update and has noticeably better audio quality. These mics are well known and have a well-deserved reputation as being the ‘industry standard’ for mid-market use.
