Absolutely in love with this monopod. It’s light yet so sturdy. I purchased this monopod primarily for birding. I paired this with Sirui L-20S Tilt/Pan Head, another great product that I’m very happy with. With the tilt and panning motion atop this solid monopod, it’s like having a gimbal head without the undesirable weight and awkward look. My heaviest camera/lens combo is Canon 5DIII and Sigma 150-600 C, and these are nothing on this monopod. I think you can throw just about any heaviest gear atop without any issues.

The only thing that bothered me about this monopod is that the hand grip section at the top has some residue of some kind that makes my hand sticky. It’s like the section was coated with some kind of automobile oil or something. I tried washing it hard with bristle and soap but to no avail. So I covered it up with a black athletic tape. Problem solved, no big deal.

I love the way you can grab all 3 locking collects at once to extend the Monopod. It should last forever! I made a minor change to the wrist strap by unstitching the bartack and rotating the strap 1/2 turn so the edge of the strap doesn’t cut into my skin and lays flat around my wrist. I added a 3-Legged Thing DOCZ foot stabilizer and it helps substantially with my Nikkor 500mm f/4.0 P ED-IF, and 200-500mm lenses for video and stills. I also use a tilting single axis head with Arca-Swiss style clamp, for tilting.
