I had the Old Xbox One and I have a TV with 4K and HDR. I gotta say that it looks Great. It’s not a whole new system but I see what the upgrade did. It’s much better than what I had before. I’m sure it will improve over time. I want to play my games at the highest quality I can. I will admit that I was Happy with the Old System. Ive had a 4K HDR tv for a while now. And I was ok with just upscaling cable.
This system just puts me into the future. I want to be ready for what’s ahead and it doesn’t hurt to have all the extras. Because one day this will become old too.
I wouldn’t go back to the old one.
I already had an external hard drive anyway. It had all the enhanced content already downloaded from who knows how far back.
I like this system.

The nba game isn’t for me but it was the Xbox I wanted for the best price I could find. Main reason I upgraded was so I could watch 4K and it works perfectly for games and 4K bluray

Bought it Sept. 18, 2019 thinking it was brand new. Item came looking new in Xbox packaging. Worked great for about a month, then began getting error codes. They became more frequent and soon could not get past the start up. Contacted Microsoft to find that the 1 year warranty expired November 19, 2019. (yes, that’s 2 months. someone registered it almost year prior) I was able to send it back to Microsoft under what was left of the 1 year warranty and it has worked flawlessly since…BUT, needless to say as I write this Dec. 26, 2019, I have just finished packing it up to resend it to Microsoft under an extended “repair warranty”. Not sure who to blame, the seller for selling me a used/returned item or Microsoft for the lemon.

This is the first Xbox One console I’ve owned. I’m happy with it. I’ve been keeping an eye on Microsoft’s progress this generation and it finally came to the point where I felt comfortable upgrading to their new system. There were some key features that I wanted and they’ve actually delivered more than what I expected from their system.
Basically, I like how Microsoft has integrated their service. Many of the games that I bought on my 360 on Xbox Live are now playable on the Xbox One X. Not only that, they look and run fantastic. No frame drops or screen tearing and in some cases, like Panzer Dragoon Orta, they even have enhancements like better textures. The upgrades are a nice free bonus and I’m glad to see that my purchases on their network from last generation are still honored and I don’t have to rebuy them to play on the new system.
Having just bought a gaming monitor I can also take advantage of 1440p resolution, HDR, and 120hz refresh rate but I think it’s important to know that there seem to be some compatibility issues with monitors when it comes to using 1440p @ 120hz. For my monitor (LG 32GK850F) I can only use 120hz in 1080p mode. At 1440p it only allows 60hz despite the monitor being capable of doing 120hz at that resolution. Just a little forewarning if you plan on getting a new monitor for the One X I would recommend doing a little research because from what I can tell only a select few monitors won’t have this sort of issue.
The controller is good. It’s very comfortable to hold, seems to be as responsive as anyone would expect however do note that it does take 2 AA batteries so if you don’t have rechargeable batteries then you might want to buy the charging kit that’s sold separately.
The system UI is a little overwhelming at first but it didn’t take long for me to figure it out. Play around with it for 20 minutes before you play a game and you should have a good idea of what it’s all about. It’s not bad at all.
About the only other thing I can think of to say about this system is it plays 4k bluray movies it you like collecting those.
To sum it up, I’m glad to be back in the Xbox ecosystem. This is my first day with it and even though I bought a couple new games, I didn’t really have to in order to get good use out of this machine due to my existing library from last generation. There’s great value to be found here and if they keep supporting this direction they’ve taken I’ll probably be buying the next system they make in the future.

I mean…it’s an xbox 1x. How much can I complain? My only issue is that I overpaid due to the shortage created by covid and them being discontinued in preparation for the release of the series x. Unfortunately mine got struck by lightning. Well, my house got struck and my Xbox was one of the casualties. Yes I cried. I jumped on the first brand new one I could find as I was hesitant to buy used and don’t typically like to buy the first edition of anything. You know they don’t have all the bugs worked out 😉 I didn’t want the basketball game that was included. It sits unredeemed on the TV stand. But I digress, the seller got it here quickly. It’s the best Xbox I’ve ever owned. I adore the 4k with my 4k TV and can’t wait to play RDR2 in actual 4k (originally played on 4k TV but on the Xbox one. That x sure makes a difference!)
So yeah, mostly 5 star as far as I’m concerned. I love the upgrade to an actual button because I can’t tell you how many times my stupid cat turned mine off with her tail while we were playing! Same with my 360. Easier to clean too without turning the console on and off a dozen times while you are dusting. I like that it doesn’t have the big power brick like my past 2 have/had.
There’s nothing I dislike so far but I haven’t played that much yet. Been a little busy remedying all the other issues from said lightning strike. Plus it’s summer and a really nice one. I love my games but in the climate I live we’re lucky to get 3 months of summer. I’m not wasting them inside.
So…yeah. It’s great.

Was the best and safest deal around so I took a chance, I live all the way in Belize, Central America… Took a while for it to be shipped here but works great so far… all codes that came are working (I havent redeemed them as yet tho)… if ur moving over from a one s or original xbox one and own a USB 3.0 drive that you keep your games on, you should be up and running in about an hour and able to pick up where you left off… So far completely satisfied, will update if things change…
