This is a fun device for making little pictures anywhere, directly from a digital camera. That being said, the image quality is pretty poor by modern standards, and the print size isn’t terribly useful.
The reason I said the novelty would wear off for adults is because of the limitations of size and quality. Kids, however, seem to love these little tear-resistant, finger-smudge resistant little pictures. They really are quite durable.
Bottom line – if you want to make quick little (smaller than wallet-size) prints from a digital camera without external power, and you don’t need them to look perfect, this may be a great choice. If you’re looking for true photo-quality prints, however – steer clear.

First of all, I gave a negative review for Adorama, for using USPS instead of UPS or Fedex for shipping I have paid for. I stand by that, but I just got the printer, in timely fashion. So perhaps I was too harsh. In every other way, Adorama has been great (I also bought a Canon 50d from them). Wish they would just forget about the postal service unless it fits in an envelope.
Now the printer: This is my second one (first one got stolen). They gave me one that was obviously made for overseas use; the plug is foreign, but they included two adapters, so this really is a non-issue. And besides, the first printer I had came with a power brick that was huge. This one’s smaller, thank God. Sorta negates the portability when the power brick is too big.
I took my first pogo all over the world. And believe me, other than battery life, it was perfect. It pays for itself the first time you see the look on the face of someone from another country when you give them a print of a picture you just took of them. Priceless really. A few people, who probably made a tiny fraction of what I earn, offered to actually pay me for the print. No way, but it is pretty useful if you’re after a signature on a model release.
The two negatives I see are print quality and battery life. Battery lasts through a series of printings, but if you’re using it a lot it won’t last all day. Normally I just charged it at night and it lasted. If you’re using it a lot you’re going through some serious paper, which isn’t exactly cheap. So just pace yourself and you’re fine. Print quality isn’t bad, and it isn’t great. Sometimes has a color cast, which I’m sure can be improved by paying attention to white balance, and shooting in Jpeg instead of Raw. I don’t really care about the quality so much, since people are thrilled by having a wallet-sized print of themselves or their kid.
This is the only truly portable printer as far as I’m aware, one which fits nicely in even a compact camera bag, and spits out perfect little prints in about a minute. Just connect with a short USB cord (mini-USB for the camera end, USB for the printer end) and voila! Easy peasy. Do get a decent little case for it that has a pocket for extra paper and the shortest USB cord you can find). You could buy an extra battery if you plan on using it a lot in a day.
Highly recommend, especially for travelers. I got the red one since it looks cooler.

I bought this thinking that I could use it to print little pictures for my scrapbooking projects. I linked it to my blackberry upon receipt (no issues) and printed out a picture of my grandson. The image was “cropped” and came out darker than the image on my blackberry! Kind of fuzzy, with streaks in sections. Was hoping that it was just the first picture, so when I got home I had my daughter connect – which didn’t work (found out later that not all bluetooth phones are compatable!) Her boyfriend’s phone did, so we had him print out a picture – the streaks were even more pronounced on that picture! I had assumed (bad thing to do!) that because the pictures were small, they would be clear & you didn’t need a 4 megapixel camera or better to print a clear image… I had followed someone’s recommendations to purchase additional paper – and found that the paper that arrived with the printer was expiring the very month I purchased it (so that might have something to do with it!) As I go through this first package of paper, and into the next, I’ll come back and update these comments to see if I feel any different. Right now, I’m sorry I bought it (even at the sale price!) I am giving it 2 stars, because it does connect to my phone and print selected images sent via bluetooth and connected to my laptop. The print was out in about 30 seconds, so it is quick (but what good is quick, if the image is bad?)

This was my second purchase of this printer. It too suffered from regular streaking! The battery life was poor and it was difficult to print to.
The best way I fould to print to it was to set it up as a bluetooth device and to just send files to it. It printed one photo, slightly blurry regardless of resolution, before I noticed streaking. The solution is to run the “blank” card through it after each print or three.
