There are many other products that are certified to do the same. However, this model has a button to replace an tiny adapter in case you use cable Internet. I also use the coax angle bracket that is provided with it.

I’m sure this is a fine moca adapter for a lot of networks but it does NOT communicate at all with Fios 2.5 moca-capable Gigabit Routers in the CR1000 line. There is a frequency mismatch between the coax signal output by the Fios router and the signal that would be transmissible by the Asus MoCA 2.5 Adapter. An Actiontec MoCA adapter works because that’s what Verizon rebranded to sell themselves. Sadly, the Asus unit is useless if you have Verizon Fios.

It could be that I needed a MoCA connection (2 adapters instead of one) for my fiber internet to actually work but I’ll never know. When I plugged in the Verizon adapter it worked fine, but ASUS’s didn’t. If I actually needed both of them, please disregard this review but at least now you know and won’t make the same mistake as I did.

i don’t know if it’s just my luck or what, but I bought it twice, thinking it may be just that one bad one. Both not working. The two bundle kit one work flawlessly, but I want to add one more to another room. Both turn one for like a second or two them completely off, plug in ethnet cable, only ethnet light stays on. I plugged in the one came with the kit, same cable, same everything, just works with no problem at all.
I called the tech support, no one picks up. Why put a “STOP” label to contact support if there is no support?

This Moca adapter performed exactly as advertised. I’m now able to use my high performance router and maintain the DVR, catalog and cable listings as if the Verizon router was still installed. Perfect solution.

This hardware requires that your Wi-Fi router is connected via COAX input for this adapter to work. Not to mention you’ll need two them if you want to connect your TV. Which means more money. Also, beware Amazon is now charging a fee to return. The “free” options were not available for me. Ridiculous. As if my $100 membership wasn’t enough.

Recently, we had fiber to the home service installed and needed a way to connect the fiber modem/router to the existing coax line running to our home office (previously used for cable internet). This Asus ethernet to coax adapter met that requirement. In this configuration, you’ll need two (2) units – one connected to the fiber modem/router and another connected to your wireless router/switch in your chosen room, as shown in the pictures. Simple install – made all connections, connected power supplies, it started up and transmitted our internet flawlessly.
