Felonius –
This isn’t the greatest game pad in the world. Not even close.
It’s a little small for my hands. It’s not the most ergonomic.
What it is, is reliable. It just works with anything you throw at it. No configuration required in Windows 11. Plug it in, it works. It’s not the most responsive out there, but it’s pretty good.
Button action is decently “medium smooth.”
Doesn’t need to be flash. Doesn’t have vibrate / force feedback, but doesn’t matter. For $25, you should have one tucked away as a backup at all times. One never knows when it will come in handy for a random game of Madden, Street Fighter, or Super Mega Baseball.

You can’t complain with an affordable controller that does its job well and doesn’t feel terribly cheap. Only issue is the shape; it’s not a comfortable grip. I don’t know if it turns out I have abnormal hands or I’ve been holding controllers wrong my whole life, this has a learning curve to hold in a way that doesn’t strain your fingers. But at this price I’m willing to overlook it.

I’ve been looking for the perfect D-Pad for fighting games for the longest time, going through at least 7 different kinds of controllers (including a $170 controller), and I can confidently say that this D-Pad is absolutely phenomenal.
It has just the right level of slight tactileness so you know that you’re pressing a direction, while being perfectly soft at the same time. I can’t recommend this enough for fighting games. Sure beats paying $60+ everytime you need a new Xbox controller.

Okay so this controller fits comfortably in your hands. It’s like a PlayStation controller. It works well with steam and emulation. If you are a casual player, play Jrpg this is a great controller for you. If you are doing a platforming or a bit hard on your controller then this is probably the controller for you.
The bad? I played Celeste and Dark Souls 1 (platformer) and this wrecked the controller. My ps5 controller and GameSir controller has held up with playing Celeste and other games. My PlayStation 5 controller gave out a little after a year and half but this controller gave out in three months. This is strange because I had this controller before that I bought years ago and it was just fine (until it wasn’t which is why I got the replacement) and this new controller hardly lasted. It was stick drift for the first one one. It was the R1 button got stuck and I would be randomly striking things for the second one. I tried cleaning it to and there was no resolution.

Calico –
It is a very complete product. It is fairly ergonomic and the cord has a great length. The face buttons are a bit mushy, the d-pad feels a bit flimsy (altought it is very reliable) and the triggers are kind of hard to pull. None of that is a turn off to me, especially because of how cheap it is. The software it has for customization seems to be very outdated, I’d say that is my only complain.
Mark Campos –
Everything works as it should.
I’ve never had any issues with Logitech and this controller is no different.
Trent Bannister –
Comfortable if you have small/average-sized hands.
If you have big hands, it may take some time to get used to or just be outright uncomfortable to use, would recommend an asymmetrical joystick layout in your case (think Xbox controller design type).
Ergonomics aside, this controller has survived 3 dunks onto my floor, more than enough accidental drops, and a slam onto a hard desk (souls-like genre). I firmly believe that this controller could get out of a controller-spike unscathed. All of the plastic bits that hold wiring seem to be just as thick as the controller’s case, allowing this clunky fella to withstand great amounts of physical shock.
Works with Steam and is detected by Windows 11 as a gamepad, further proving its firmware is not bootlegged and is reliable for pc gaming.
Wire is a decent length as I can play on my bed, about a meter away from where it is plugged in, without any stress that I will tug the cord.
Only confusion I ever had with it is that it uses Xbox controller letters for the buttons (A, B, X, Y) but has the symmetric joystick layout of a DualShock 4, so I kept mixing up how my games should communicate with the controller, which is not even a technical issue, just a matter of preference.

i have bought 4 of these, and i can’t speak highly enough about them. so, let me dive right into the cons: it doesn’t have vibration. it doesn’t have wireless capability. it doesn’t have a sleek design. it doesn’t have a headset jack. and it took me a while to learn to actually hit the back button instead of the d-pad/left stick swap button.
i’ve had to replace several of them because the left stick press dies, but i’m starting to think that’s a me problem, since it keeps happening with different controllers. i bought an 8bitdo controller that broke the first time i pressed the left stick.
that’s pretty much it for the cons.
on the pros side, it’s small, doesn’t feel as cheap as it is, and comfortable to hold for long gaming sessions. and beyond the wide compatibility of being an xbox controller, the directinput/xinput switch on the back supports a lot of old dos and directx games.
in my opinion, this is the best cheap controller for the pc.

I have owned this controller for about five months now and I can say without a doubt I made the proper purchase. It is cheaper than the Microsoft equivalents but works (assuming) just as well. I’ve logged 70+ hours playing Spelunky on this Bad Boy as well as 60+ with Euro Truck Driver 2 and I didn’t have to change a thing in the settings. It worked as soon as the games turned on. And its the same way for every single other game I have played using it (at least 50+, I have a massive Steam library but prefer Keyboard/Mouse for first person games. Rouge Legacy, Dirt 2, Strike Suit Zero, Super Meat Boy, honestly the list could go on for ever but for every single one it was pick up and play using this controller).
I must add that I play first person games with keyboard and mouse so if you are looking for review that covers that in particular you may want to skip mine.
I have encountered one problem that is going to require a bit of maneuvering and fixing to make work properly. Not all older games subscribe to the “pick up and playness” that I referenced earlier. Honestly so far it has only been one game (GTA: San Andreas), but I’m confident I can fix the issues at hand. It just gives me pause when it comes to other older games that it wont be so easy to “pick up and play”.
It fits nicely in my hands (I have very large hands so it may be different for others) and the buttons seem to have normal responsiveness. The triggers have the right amount of resistance so you can make the perfect shot. Cord length is also long and has never been a hindrance to my gaming experiences.
It has fallen to the floor a few times off of my desk or out of my sleepy hands but has zero cracks and it has not affected its performance at all. Durability has been great. Triggers still work like they did coming out of the box which is wonderful when you consider a game like Spelunky requires you to hold down the right trigger for speed the entire game.
So to recap; Every modern game I have played using it has been a seamless experience. It is as if it is a 360 or PS3 controller. The lone older game I have tried to use it with has been a little wonky to say the least but I am confident I can program it to work the way it has with modern games. I should also add works great with NES and SNES ROMS. I cant believe I had been playing ROMS with a keyboard for so long. A controller makes them infinity easier and just feels right, makes the whole experience a bit more nostalgic.
If you are put off because it isn’t an official Microsoft or Sony product stop it. This controller works amazingly with all modern games (again I use keyboard/mouse for first person games so that might make this review completely worthless to you) and with a couple minutes of fooling around can be programed to work perfectly with older games as well.
I do not regret buying this in anyway shape or form. It is a perfect controller for me to dig into my obscene library of games. I’m very pleased with my purchase and would recommend it to a friend.
