The sharp Calculator EL2196BL has to be one of the best calculators. I have seen Back on the market in a long time, I have used almost every brand and they do not compare to this new sharp calculator it is well made a little bit
larger sits on a desk beautiful beautiful. It is quiet functional beautiful well. I commended what I liked most of all about it. All the control buttons are just a little bigger and easier to maintain and work. The number of buttons are a little bit bigger easier to read. Easier to work with this is a well. Big improvement reminds me other original larger calculators that they made 20 years ago. But this one is an excellent buy for the money, and I will well recommend it to anyone.

I am an accountant and had an older version of this calculator for over a decade. This summer I spilled a full cup of water directly into it and it no longer worked. So relieved they still made it. I almost ordered 2 but hopefully I will be retired before I need another one! Just as good as the old one which is not always the case anymore. This one is a little more quiet.

I needed to replace an old one that expired in an electrical storm. This works well. It is slower to print than I’m used to, but I chose the lower price option so I expected that. Pros: It works and the total is on the correct side (thumb side.) Easy to change tape and ribbon (as all Sharps are.) Cons: You can’t see the last 2 lines of the tape at a glance, I have to roll the tape up or physically stand above it to get the correct angle. The cord is too short, I need another 2 ft in my old office to reach the battery backup/power strip.
These are design flaws, and I can work around them for now. The numbers print well and it is not unusually loud like the temporary C brand I was using.
