The clock and especially the networked access are excellent. The software works quite well and has more functionality than I use. My only complaint is that the unit does not actually notify you for successful punch, except for a somewhat quiet beep and brief display of the card number. There are no settings to alter this, and add a simple “Punch Successful” display or something to that effect. This means that the inattentive employee, or hard-of-hearing employee, (or both) often wonders if the punch was successful and may swipe again, effectively negating the first one. The only work around is to set the clock to ignore a second swipe within a certain period of time, say 10 seconds or so. Otherwise works great

This time clock works great… I purchased this clock from Pyramid because it is called “proximity” clock and my employees don’t have to touch it when punching in – I felt it was a good option given the current situation. I also called the manufacturer because I saw some bad reviews, and they explained how the software is now a download and how the unit was revamped in 2019. The set up was easy, my employees like it, so, so far so good. The added kicker is that it is made in the USA.

Wow. What a waste of over $400. This does less than the $150 timeclock we had, other than utilize a Prox card. It is not customizable for scheduling hours in any way as the product info states. If an employee is called in for OT, this should be able to tell the difference based on Start/Stop time settings and calculate the OT – it does not. The only way to earn OT is to work either over 40 hours or over 8. Everything else else is accounted for as regular hours. This requires a lot of manual research of arrival times and editing in the software to remove the hours accounted for as regular rather than over time, and then adding over time hours. Our payroll dept. was more efficient when we used mobile form submissions, and our $150 time clock.

Timeclock and software are very easy to setup and use. Everything is pretty much automatic. And Pyramid’s customer support is top notch. If you have any issues or questions, they respond very quickly.
The only thing I couldn’t figure out is how to get the export to adp to match up with ADP RUN. Though I did not put more than a cursory look into it, as I only have 15 employees, so typing their hours into ADP is not a big deal.
Definitely recommend this timeclock to any small business manager.

I purchased this a year ago. At first it worked fine, and as the software has been updated, more and more bugs have been released. In the last month I have had to issue 14 employees emergency back pay because they were not included in the export, or they were skipped on the “approve and go to next employee” section on approving time cards. The software will simply omit the employees or report their time as 0 hours, when their time sheet shows hours. We are switching to KRONOS, the price point was attractive for the Pyramid system, but the issue have been going on months, and the customer service says the fixes have no ETA for the fixes.

I replaced my mechanical clock with this one. Although the software is not intuitive, once I learned and made a mistake or two, I found it easy to use. No more worrying about getting time cards out on Friday or adding up the hours. The customer service was really kind and helpful. They offered a remote training session but I learned fast enough and emailed them once with an issue which was explained quickly. You will need a hard wired network line and you will have to remember to disable your antivirus when you use the software.

Let me prepare you for the mutiny about to occur. When I installed a timeclock system in the small doctor’s office that I manage, I wasn’t expecting the backlash that happened. Employees that had been accustomed to taking home 40 hours of pay were outraged that they now might only take home what they had actually earned. I thought I had adequately prepped them for this reality, but apparently no amount of prep time can overcome an outright sense of undeserved entitlement. Back to the timeclock: It’s a good little timeclock. Reliable. Easy to set up. Buy the extra key fobs that are available- that seems to be the method of choice with my employees (in addition to the cards). That being said, the software and report system isn’t the best. It’s manageable, but not in any way customizable or intuitive. I’d really like to see a substantial software update, but other than that, I’m happy.

Not user friendly. Very difficult to install. And no instructions came with it. Returned it asap
