It washes dishes and it’s quiet. But a stainless steel tub and some extra padding don’t make a quality dishwasher.
The racks are flimsy, the bottom one comes off its rails, the top one doesn’t slide smoothly, spacing doesn’t accomodate bowls. The utensil holder won’t stay put. If the Bottle Washers have any real use I haven’t found it. A wasted feature, mostly in the way.
The manual is an absolute joke. One function, Steam, isn’t even mentioned. No explanation over one sentence long of how the functions work or why and when to choose one over the other.
If I had it to do over I’d buy Kitchen Aid.

We like this dishwasher, however………it was not easy to install. Some of the connections were too small to easily access, which ended up taking several hours to install. I’m just glad we didn’t pay someone per hr.
Otherwise, we love the dishwasher and appreciate the high quality! Does take a bit longer to wash/dry, but very quiet and energy efficient, so not a big issue.

We moved into our newly built home in Aug. of 2021. Our home was a semi-custom build in which we were able to pick many features in our home; including the appliances. We bought the best appliance package they offered – GE Profile gas stove, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. So far, the other appliances are still working just fine. However, the picture posted here is a picture of the framing of the latch which you can see is bent. It started leaking about 4 months ago and we had two plumbers try to fix it on six different occassions. The second to the last plumber replaced the gasket but it still leaked. Finally, the last plumber told us why it was leaking and that it cannot be repaired because the latch is damaged. We were told it must have come this way from the manufacturer because it is almost impossible for anyone to damage it in this area either by installing it or trying to repair it. After using this dishwasher for only a year and a half, we have to buy a new dishwasher. We can confidently say it will not be a GE Profile.

This dishwasher was bought to replace one that was at least 25 years old. It is dead in less than 4 years. The problem seems to be somewhat common, because a quick google search showed my exact problem in some of the first couple results with a video on how to fix it. the replacement part is over $100. I’ve ordered it to get this machine back up and running but what a piece of ship this thing is. Save yourself by not buying GE as I will do from here on out! I called GE support and they told me it is more than a year old and they can’t do anything, other than sending a repairman out at my expense. Also the problem was not common…

The media could not be loaded.
When we moved in, the GE dishwasher eventually leaked and damaged our wood floor. It was 7 years old but worked well and we were otherwise happy.
We replaced it with a new GE dishwasher. Fast forward 4 years, leaked and once again damaged our wood floor.
An appliance repair man came and said it was a known seal issue, he did a band aid repair and it once again was leaking the very next day.
The video shows just how poor quality their design is. It’s basically a press fit seal that feels unstable and poor quality. For this reason we will no longer purchase a GE product. 8 years is acceptable. For a thousand dollars I would expect better.

I wanted to match my Profile refrigerator and wanted to support American made. Apparently this is not really their dishwasher. Plastic wheel caught on heating coil and had internal fire and melted causing toxic melted plastic to stain bottom and side of machine, First tech that was sent told the company I just needed coil replacement. No one was listening that a toxic chemical smell was released when used and even still smelled over a week after the internal fire/melting happened. Second person sent as second opinion to veriy what I was saying. Also said to replace part. I escalated and explained what part? Every time I will use it, I have greater risk of some cancer with the toxic smell of burnt plastic still on it. Finally person on phone said I have to prove I cut the cord and I will receive refund, Before this happened-

In my culture we eat a lot of food and things get messy! Nothing will clean perfectly unless I rinse it first and even scrub with sponge.
Lastly, my water bill TRIPLED per the 3 months I had it. Yes, the internal fire happened 3 months in.
I hand washed dishes 15 years! 3 months of this dishwasher and all 3 months the water bill TRIPLED and OVER TRIPLED from 70 dollars a month to 200-220.
The only good thing is the fnish look looks like quality LOOKS is the key word
and the sound is so low even at 48 dcb, But I am sorry that is no longer enough after what happened to me.

I really like this model which is why I bought a second one after the first stopped working after three years. This second one has only lasted a year and a half. I called customer service and because there’s no repair person in my ZIP Code it hung up. In other words there is no customer service. I only wanted to ask questions not schedule a repair. Obviously I will buy a different brand.

This dishwasher is so quiet that I can’t even hear it running when I am TRYING to! LOL
I especially like the third, upper rack which is perfect for utensils and knives. The dishwasher is beautiful and extremely efficient. A handyman installed it for me, so I can not address difficulty of installation. He did not complain, though! I would highly recommend this dishwasher.
