I really like that it has energy saving mode…haven’t used the remote, as I just set it at 74 and fan on low and use a smart plug to schedule run time. It’s a bit noisy, but tolerable. I also use a 12” circulator fan to blow the cool air down to my end of m 12×24 shed/workshop. The previous unit was limited to 5k BTU due to narrow window…was very excited to see this one.

Bought this for the upper floor in a 3 level split house. Fits in the window perfectly. Comes with a window kit to block the opening off. Easy enough to install if you’re handy with these kinds of things. Cools the upper floor pretty good (600 Sq ft.) Came from a local business too so that was good.

A good unit that rapidly cools a small apartment or larger room, at a good price. Works for sliding or casement windows. It is noisy and not the most energy efficient but was a relief in this years heat wave. Default settings worked well for me.
Unlike standard air conditioners, it’s not front weighted but evenly distributed. This puts significant weight past the window ledge. It requires a deck. It comes with metal parts for that, as well as trim for the sides and above. However, this didn’t work well for my circumstances. My vinyl window frames has 4 different levels, so I built a base frame to create a level surface, then a platform on that. Screwing into the vinyl siding outside wasn’t an option and I don’t plan to leave the AC in the window year-round, so I made it removable. This took a bit of planning and construction to prepare.

This remote controlled Window A/C unit is so much nicer than the one it replaced. There are many settings for almost any condition. Thus unit turns itself on and off. So it is hassle free to use. Quiet and saves energy.
This unit is for horizontally opening windows and installing is well described in the instruction manual. I did a lot of research before I chose this unit. We have warm to hot summers and I have never used anything but the low fan setting. I highly recommend this A/C best yet and I’ve tried quite a few.
