I purchased this after having Dysons for years. I loved my Dyson (especially the dust brush roller and green laser), but after a while it was starting to die. I didn’t want to spend another $500+ for a vacuum but wanted something that is good. Our house is pretty small so I wanted something cordless, but I am a self described “clean freak” so I wanted something effective. I had heard a lot of good things about Shark, so I gave this one a try. I like the self-emptying feature and I like I can pause it (my husband works from home and his office is near the vacuum). I can vacuum my entire house (approx.1200 sq ft) on higher power without running out of battery. It turns easier than my previous Dysons and is a lot lighter. So far, I really like it.

…Nice unit. It was very easy to assemble. It does work great, The suctions is super, and easy to handle unit.
The instructions are printed on the inside of the box which is good, but the only thing I didn’t particularly care for is the printed instruction paper. It could have a bolder print, as opposed to a print that fades.
As you finish reading the faded instruction sheet, it is easy to operate it. When you receive the unit the battery is 30% full, therefore it was operational for about 10 minutes.
The self disposing function is very nice. When you place the unit on the charger stand; it discharges or dumps the picked up dust to the bin underneath. Overall I like this unit a lot better than other cheaper vacuum cleaners. That’s it for now as I need to vacuum.

WHY DOESN’T SHARK MAKE ALL OF THEIR DEVICES WITH INTERCHANGEABLE HAND TOOLS??
The BAD:
SUCTION – Horrible on hardwood. Had to sweep after vacuuming.
CARPET – The collection bin clogs and suction stops.
STICK VAC BIN – The collection bin on the vacuum CANNOT BE EMPTIED MANUALLY!
FLOOR DUSTBIN-The dustbin doesn’t have enough suction to empty the stick vac bin. As a result you have to pull dirt out with your hand and repeatedly mount the vacuum to remove debris.
FLOOR MOUNT DEBRIS COLLECTION BIN – Horrible! The release lever is situated so that all the nasty stuff lands on your hand (it takes one hand to hold the bin and one hand to engage the release lever) and a cloud of dust explodes.
GOOD: The vacuum is really light and the new connection push button release system is awesome. The hand upholstery tool is brilliant but only works briefly because they vacuum has HORRIBLE suction.
I wanted to love this vacuum because our 3 previous #SHARK stick vacuums were amazing. When these issues are corrected let me know and I’ll check it out.

My Kenmore cordless vacuum recently stopped suctioning, so I bought this vacuum on Prime Day and it’s AMAZING! The suction head is so much more sturdy and there are no hairs collecting in it (we’re a house of shedders, so our vacuums usually get so tangled). It makes such a difference. And the auto-empty feature on the charging stand is even more amazing than I expected. It makes such a difference not to have a cloud of dust in my face whenever I empty the vacuum — and the suction that sucks it out is super strong, so the filter is totally cleared too (my old one would always collect remnants in the filter that I’d need to pull out with a fork!). Would HIGHLY recommend!! Friends recommended the Dyson, and I can’t vouch for that since I’ve never used it, but this was a more affordable price and I’m thrilled with it!

Every detail of this vac is top quality. Not one spec of dust gets airborne. It can’t!! I take dust bin to outside trash can to empty it. Just sit it in base. That’s it!! I always clean my vacs after every use. Beater bar auto cleans itself. Placing in base when you’re done automatically cleans, empties, AND connects to charging!! Set it down and walk off. I’ve yet to even need extra suction feature!! That’s saying a lot for this type of vac! I’ve owned a couple of others. Haven’t run out of power yet, either. Solid hour for sure!! Buy this,then thank me. 😘

I love this vacuum! It is lightweight, has great suction, knows how to adjust from a bare floor to a carpeted floor. Best of all, it empties itself when put back on the charger. I only have to dump the master catch-all every so often as opposed to every time I used the vacuum like with prior vacuums. I recommend this highly.

Wish I could give it 5 stars but the weak battery life is keeping me from doing that. It’s really light and with my wife’s allergies it was great that we don’t need to empty any bags and it does into the base. The only problem is the battery. I realize you give up something by having portability but I can maybe get 20 minutes out of it before I have to charge. I bought a 2nd battery through shark just so we can actually clean our house without having to recharge the battery before finishing.

This was first impression after I vacuumed the bedroom and hall. Those two rooms plus the kitchen are where my two Golden Retrievers spend most of their time indoors. Hair is a constant problem even though I groom them daily.
This cordless stick Shark vacuum was lighter than the other cordless Shark and did an even better job. It had lots of power and suction. Because it was lighter, it took less time to vacuum.
I have asthma, so handling the cup each time on my other cordless Shark meant wheezing, even when wearing a mask.
But THIS cordless Shark has a stand and box that automatically empties the cup when you put ot on the charging stand. I turned it off and put it on the charger and- whoosh! Three seconds later the collection cup was pristinely clean.

I am not easily impressed but this vacuum is wonderful.
I now have three Shark vacuums. My first was a large, corded vacuum and heavy. I worried about tripping on the cord. My second was a cordless Shark but emptying the collection cup was hard on my asthma.
This one – great value for money.
I am going to look into buying stock in Shark.
