I have had this less than 24 hours. And i’m already on the phone with dyson because the humidifier is malfunctioning

Problems started with the setup, for some reason it didn’t want to connect to wifi and had to connect it to 2.4 Ghz network even when it supports 5Ghz.
Then the humidifier refused to work, with multiple errors in the app and after extensive (and very confusing) troubleshooting still didn’t work, the errors went away the next day without doing anything. Humidifier was still a big let down, readings from the machine gave me 50% humidity in the room even though I have two separate sensors showing 35% humidity (which is correct). The machine gives you the option to go up to 70% humidity but in reality it never went up more than 4% after a couple of hours.
Another function that didn’t work out of the box was oscillation mode. Just one of the two fins moved when selecting oscillation and the other one is just stuck, showing an error in the app with no troubleshooting option. (probably the motor is dead)
These units are definitely not being tested for refurbishing and Woot support won’t send a replacement until they receive the old unit. If you read reviews in reddit you will see a ton of issues with this model so i’m better off returning and getting a full refund.

Started using my (gifted) Dyson PH01 in May 2023 & was very happy with it at first. After the first humidifier cleaning cycle, the humidifier function would not work & the machine gave a “pump column assembly” error. Once I had gone through all the troubleshooting steps on the Dyson website, I gave up [it was late at night and the Dyson help 800 # is only available during office-like hours]. I ended up giving up and using just the air purifier/fan function. The pump column works on & off…NO idea what the issue is. Once I googled the same issue & reading feedback on Reddit & Quotum, it seems that crucial parts of the pump column getting wet is a major issue (and possible design flaw). Will keep trying to use it, but VERY disappointed I can only use the humidifier part on & off.

The Dyson humidifier is head and shoulders better than the competition. The refurbed model I bought worked perfectly with no signs of any use.

Failed after 10 minutes. Dyson clearly has a critical design failure. I was SO excited for this product at such a fantastic price point, but sadly it isn’t worth a single dollar if you need humidification. Wish I had researched first and checked Reddit, wouldn’t have wasted my time and money nor Amazon’s shipping efforts. Returning and will not buy again after the research I did while troubleshooting.
