Yes, Vitamix blenders cost a lot but they’re worth every penny. Vitamix blends everything from kale and veggies, to protein smoothies, to fruit, yogurt, and ice smoothies. The ice is well blended and not in little bits and pieces. It’s simple to clean (if you do it right after use) and has lots of different power levels. This one makes soups and comes with a recipe book but I haven’t tried any of that stuff. My husband and I use this machine twice a day. It’s way better than the cheaper blenders where the motor burns out after a few months and it doesn’t blend well. If you use a blender often, this is the one to get. My last one lasted ten years.

I’ve had a Breville blender for the last decade or so. My biggest use is to make smoothies and iced drinks. I liked my Breville a lot but when it finally broke down I decided to “up my game” and get a Vitamix after a lot of research.
The vitamix blows me away. It has so much power it grinds ice cubes into slush with no problem (a task that my Breville did, but labored to do). The base of the blender is built like a tank. I also really like the automated “modes” which work really well. Here’s one gotcha… don’t buy the “extended” warranty because the manufacturer’s warranty is so long that even the longest “extended” warranty choice doesn’t actually extend it! (read the fine print!).
The one negative I’ll say about this blender (besides the really high price) is the “cleaning” aspect of it. A lot of people tout it and I’m not really sure why. Yes, there is a “cleaning” mode where you put liquid and dish soap into it, turn it on and it “cleans itself”. It’s kind of impressive parlour trick, but ultimately it’s kind of a pain in the behind. First you have to get the “bulk” out of it yourself, then you have to put exactly the right amount of liquid in there. Too much and it will foam out of the top and make a mess on your counter, too little and it won’t clean the top. But even after it’s “cleaned itself” you do have to do throw out the water and actually do some cleaning of it. Personally, for cleaning, my old Breville wins on this aspect. I could just throw it in the dishwasher and it would be perfect with no effort on my part. The Vitamix is not machine-washable.
I still love the vitamix though. Worth the high price (so far at least) and it really does expand what one can do with a blender.

I seldomly write reviews, but I feel indebted to the reviews I read on this product, they really helped me make my final decision. So I feel I need to do the same for future buyers in a gest to thank the earlier reviewers.
Ok, the product came, to my surprise, with the original VITAMIX box, I thought there would be an Amazon box added to it. Inside all is as I expected, a manual book, a tool for pressing the stuff down (I forgot the proper name).
This machine was a big investment for me, but afterward, I feel it’s totally worth it. Think about it, if you invest 1$ per day on your health, it’s a small investment, and in about two years, you’ll have the value back. I used it daily, literally. I love it! It works wonders for me, just the function I needed, I haven’t made any nut butter with it.
I spent lots of time comparing and hesitating between the classic 5200 model and this one, and finally, after reading all reviews on both, professional reviews, videos, I decided to go with this one. The decision was taken for the following reasons: the noise was smaller than 5200, and it’s a newer model, I trust the quality has made an improvement. The setback on 5200, is one reviewer of Amazon mentioned the smell of “burned” plastic. Also, a few loyal 5200 user said the new 5200 are not the same as the old ones they owned. I was really sold by 5200 at first because one reviewer said that it has lesser foam/ pulp, because it’s tall and slim, lesser air comes into the liquid. That is probably true, because I do get a bit of that with this model, but it doesn’t really bother me much. One solution is to add banana or avocado to the liquid, so it will be too thick and creamy, therefore no foam.
The noise is totally ok. I was prepared for worse, reading so many saying they are nosie. Comparing to my old blender, this new one is totally bearable. Besides, it’s only lesser than 1 minute. Anyway, I found it quieter than I had expected.
Very easy to clean. I don’t use soap. Just warm water, it cleans well. I never added any oily stuff into it, so water is fine. If you add dishwasher soap, then you have to rinse it, and it takes one more step.
I use it daily, at least once per day. I love how it changed my habit in fruit and green leafy consumption. Before, I find fruit preparation takes time. Now I make fruit smoothy daily, I add always a few kinds of fruits with baby spanish, and it makes feel good to drink something fresh and nutritious daily, overall, I am eating healthier, and drinking more liquid. This is the main effect on me, that I start to take liquid more regularly, comparing to before, drinking water was boring, and I often forgot to drink it all day long. Now it’s desirable to make something that looks nice, taste nice, and is nice to the body. I am aware that it shall not replace water, but it really compensates.
All in all, this is a great purchase. If one affordable product changes your lifestyle in a visible way, it’s this one. I strongly recommend it, this model is great, but if you prefer other models, go for it. You have to buy one that pleases your heart, cheers your mood, because you are going to use it daily.

I get so tired of replacing kitchen appliances. I’ve had my eye on the Vitamix brand for a few years but the price stopped me from buying a blender. This past year I bought a reasonably priced blender that broke down within weeks of purchasing it. I was sent a replacement but it wasn’t the exact same one. It worked okay so I kept it. I didn’t use it often because it was a hassle to get stuff to stay at the bottom of the blender container and not splash up the sides. Then there was the taking it apart to clean. It had a glass container which I liked at first but it was heavy. I tried making a smoothie but it just wasn’t up to the task. I also had a small personal blender and the gears started making a terrible noise. I decided it was time to replace both appliances with a “real” blender.
I chose the 750 because the noise level was suppose to be to lowest. On low, it is very quiet. On high, it sounds like an airplane taking flight. I can only imagine how loud the others are.
So, I made a single serve smoothie and used the automatic setting. This machine is amazing. It pulverized everything to a nice smooth consistency. I can tell you that until today, I couldn’t figure out why they’re called smoothies. The ones I made with my other machines were not that smooth. My juicer doesn’t even get my juice that smooth (and that’s with most of the fiber removed.
I made another 2 serving smoothie and that turned out good as well.
Next, I tried the clean function. I love it! I may have put too many drops of soap in though. Ah, live and learn. Next time I’ll be more careful when I add soap.
Next, I’ll try the soup function. With the cooler weather, a bowl of soup will be perfect.
I love my new blender. I’m especially impressed with the 7 year warranty. It cost more than I would normally want to spend but at least I don’t have to worry about it breaking down.

Originalmente quise comprar una licuadora Ninja, pero antes investigué todo lo que pude acerca de ella, encontré reseñas, opiniones, y comparaciones… justo ahà conocà a Vitamix junto con su excelente funcionamiento y resultados en comparación con la Ninja; fue decisivo elegir a Vitamix y aquà estoy con mi reseña: la estrené moliendo medio kilo de granos de cacao tostado y pelado, junto con unas rajas de canela y un puño de almendras tostadas, (en ese momento no sabÃa que habÃa un contenedor especial para granos y secos pero todo salió muy bien) molió a dejarlo como un polvillo parecido a un café granulado, ahà paré esa molienda porque conozco la consistencia del cacao cuando suelta la manteca por fricción, sé que se vuelve muy densa y ahà sà no sabrÃa si hubiera tenido algún desgaste significativo el vaso o el motor, no quise averiguar; debo añadir que no hay problema para mà con que quedara en polvo, porque cuando agrego leche, y un par de cucharadas del cacao molido en la licuadora, sea con el programa de las sopas calientes, o con la leche o agua previamente calentada, ahà termina de disolverse e integrarse muy bien el cacao, quedando una bebida muy rica espesita y sin ningún granito, endulzada al gusto de quien la tome, con el plus de muy natural, sin exceso de azúcar, sin conservadores; el cacao sobrante simplemente guardarlo en un recipiente que no filtre luz, lejos de otros alimentos que suelten olores; los smoothies de fruta con verduras que me han ayudado con mis desayunos y cenas ¡Maravillosos! Las cremas de apio, y brócoli, sin ebras ni grumitos; las salsas para spaghetti o pizza, para mà quedan muy bien que ya no requiero quitar previamente la cáscara y semillas a los tomates, ni colar la salsa. Estoy tan segura que fue la mejor compra que he hecho. Vale lo que cuesta.
