It was a little alarming that this PS is so much lighter than the original but that didn’t stop me. It is a little quieter than the original. I am glad I read the instructions about the cable ends being tweakable because I did have to separate one so it would work on my old HP Motherboard. Once separated I nearly needed a magnifying glass to determine which of the two (4 pin) connectors would attach properly. The other unneeded 4 pin connector has no chance of shorting against anything so I did nothing special and let it find its own resting spot nearby. For people that go overboard on disconnecting cables there was a reminder note on the instructions about being sure you MB power-on button cable is attached. I presume it’s so that people don’t think using the power switch on your new PS will turn on your computer. Most machines have their own separate case button that is used to turn on the machine and the one on the power supply just gets left in the on position. My only trip up on this repair was a detent (protrusion) on the computer case that is there to secure the PS firmly at the opposite end from the 4 screws so there is no chance to vibrate. I wanted to pry it away but it only needed a really firm push to release the failed supply for removal. I hope this helps. Long live desktop Internet PC’s!

Does not have the connectors I need. I do not like the fact that ALL wires, including connector wires, are black. No wiring diagram included. I may try to return it if possible.
    Not recommended.

It’s the cheapest psu out there and just look at the reviews. I ordered one and just the quality of the un sleeved cables made me not even want to power it on. I instantly decided to send it back and order a nice $100 EVGA psu. For a cheap psu it’s not worth risking your hardware.

It’s fine for the price. Doesn’t seem to be badly made. You should be aware there is no PCIE Cable – this means that if your GPU needs any power besides the PCIE slot itself, you are out of luck. You’d either need to buy a possibly dangerous adapter cable to run off of the MOLEX cable at your own risk – in which case you may as well buy a better PSU, or buy a low power GPU that doesn’t need a separate power cable.

It’s OK for what I needed. The cables are all black, which is nice, but some are almost like loose spaghetti strands. It did work right out of the box, so it’s acceptable for my needs.

I replaced an older power supply with the APEVIA VENUS450W 450W ATX Power Supply and it works great. I like to have a little extra reserve power for any future computer parts add-ons and usb powered devices. The power supply is quiet and comes with mounting screws and power cable. I will order this power supply again when needed.

Cheap PSU really meant to be used for builds that will use an iGPU (integrated graphcis) or have a gpu that will not use any external power from the PSU via PCIE cables. Wasn’t honestly clear in the description, wish they had shown pictures or had some
