The ice cream maker attachment fits my KitchenAid and states is fits other brands of stand mixers. Fits only certain models and types of mixers so you need to double check! Fastens securely, east to instal and use. There is some prep work to the bowl (attachment) but nothing difficult, just freezer time day before use. Easy to break down and clean, hand wash only please.

I had been considering buying one of those Ninja ice cream makers when I came across this. This works really great to make homemade ice cream, and allows you to control the sugar and fat content! Easy to use, and easy to clean up! If you don’t eat it all at once, you do need a separate storage container, which is no big deal. Very happy with this item. If you already have a KitchenAid Mixer, consider this before investing in a Ninja ice cream maker.

I was afraid that the attachment on top would not work. It doesn’t go on there looking at all secure. However, the mixing blade holds it in, and it works great.
Ice cream depends on the recipe, of course, but the bowl made my recipe quickly. Maybe 15 minutes before I could put it in the freezer to firm up. I use heavy cream, so if you use lighter cream, it might take longer.
It’s a lot to clean up afterward, but no more than any other time I use my KitchenAid mixer. I have the stand type, and it works perfectly.
I’m still not entirely sure this saves a huge amount of work, but it is fast.

This is AWESOME! It is easy to use, was easy to find a recipe to use, and works perfectly.
We are thrilled to have a simple and quick ice cream maker as compared to the ones you put outside, put ice and salt around the outside of, and it takes hours… This was a quick 30-40 minutes and we had a nice bowl of ice cream for the family! Plus healthier than the store bought stuff now days.
Cleaning up was just as easy also. We cannot say enough good things about this ice cream maker attachment!!

I’m really enjoying the ice cream maker attachment for my KitchenAid Artisan! The setup requires some prep work, mainly freezing the bowl the day before use, but it’s straightforward. Cleanup is easy too, though it’s hand wash only, which adds a bit to the post-ice cream cleanup. Overall, it’s comparable to cleaning my KitchenAid mixer after use.
In just 30-40 minutes, we whipped up a delicious bowl of ice cream for the family! One thing to note is that the bowl’s capacity feels like it is on the smaller side—able to hold about 4 cups (give or take) of liquid ingredients, but anything more, i feel, might overflow as it freezes. Additionally, you need to start the machine before adding your ingredients otherwise it begins to freeze immediately, so if you pour in the liquid while it’s off, it won’t mix properly.
Overall, it’s a fun and convenient way to make ice cream at home, perfect for family treats!

Fits perfectly on my 4.5quart mixer. & it’s Better price wise than kitchen aids ice cream bowl. Not a fan of the fact that it says to leave the mixer on for 20-30 minutes, the mixers not quiet & I have close by neighbors so I’ll have to be mindful of the time.
It has a liquid you can hear with the walls of the bowl so be sure to never break it!
