I had wanted a divided hamper for a while, but all the ones I saw were really expensive. So I was happy to find this one, that looks nice and is modestly priced.It arrived flat-packed, which cuts cost & energy use, so I like that. It was quick & easy to set up. Just 2 zippers to open the 2 sides and then the lid attaches to the back with velcro. The front of the lid is held closed with magnets.
The one problem with the lid is that there is nothing to keep it open, when you need to. The simple solution is to move it an inch or two away from the wall; then the lid will lean against it. It is wider and deeper than my old hamper, so it holds more, which good for us. Our other hamper got overfilled too fast. It is 26″ deep which is fine if you are on the tall side. (I’m 5’8″ and my husband is 5’10”.) If you are shorter, you may have trouble reaching the bottom. Once again,there is an easy solution- keep a reacher handy. (See photos). The other thing I found useful (for folks with kids or oblivious spouses) was to take a marker and label the lid, to indicate which side is for light or dark wash.

When my wife and I were in the market for a new hamper, we had a few requirements:
– large enough to hold at least 2 weeks of clothes
– separate compartments for light and darks
– each compartment should have a detachable mesh bag to be able to transport easily
– easy to clean
– stylish enough to leave in the bedroom and not be an eye sore
Glad to say this little hamper meets all of these requirements! It is made of a very soft material, but also is able to stand up quite well without falling apart like a mesh hamper. There are two compartments, separated by a piece of cardboard that stands vertically down the center. Each compartment has separate mesh bags that are held in place by velcro. I am amazed at how well it keeps its structure without collapsing. The top is magnetic, so the top cannot just fall into the hamper and doesn’t fall off to the side of the hamper.
I’d have to say my favorite component is the detachable bags which makes transporting clothes to the laundry room very easy.

Great hamper, color matches along with nearly any color scheme you may have in your room. Does not draw too much attention to itself. It is sturdy too, we’re able to place a couple of item on top without it bending or appear to be under too much pressure, but only items that weigh about 5 pounds at the most. Just be sure this isn’t a hamper to intend to drag around a bit. The bottom of the hamper is only the hamper bag, there is no additional bottom piece to provide extra support or to help keep the bag from ripping if you drag the hamper around regularly, but this also keep the overall weight of the hamper a little lower.

I was not expecting much from this hamper… the price was stopping me from getting something that looked like it could be made of flimsy cardboard. I was wrong. I was very surprised at how heavy the package was when it arrived. I opened it right away and it took 60 seconds to set up. It is very sturdy compared to what I thought it would be… you can’t stand on it but you can have folded laundry on top and when it gets full you don’t have to worry about it tipping over. I was tired of having dirty laundry just sticking out like a sore thumb in the white plastic basket. It’s embarrassing when 4 days go by and the laundry looks like it hasn’t been done in weeks. We don’t have a laundry room as you can see in the pics, so I wanted some thing that would hide the laundry and look nice, while having a second slot to have my husband throw his “special” cotton shirts in so they don’t get mixed in with the regular laundry and get shrunk in the process. So now those shirts go on the left with my clothes and his work clothes go on the right side where I don’t have to worry about his dirty clothes touching my delicates. 🙂 Win Win Win! I am very surprised on the minimal options of laundry baskets out there that either $80 and not that attractive, or are not attractive at all and cheaply made. I wanted something that I can have out since I don’t have a laundry room and this was the middle option and I am happy with it. Check out the pictures… I seen a picture of a girl standing in it and I figured it was definitely big enough. So I just took a couple regular pictures. The lid Velcros on but it’s strong Velcro and I haven’t had it budge yet. (Please don’t mind the room we are fixing up the house to sell it, which is why I chose the grey color. The surrounding rooms are now grey and so will that room. And a sliding barn door to finally cover the appliances that I lived with for 7 years like that… your welcome to whoever buys the house. Lol sorry about the outburst but I had to get that off my chest.)

Pretty sturdy. Holds decent amount of laundry. Wish there were three compartments. The gray is a nice color. It looks better than the mesh hampers, but still has a sort of cheap look. For the price I couldn’t ask for more.

Finally our laundry situation is under control… or at least it no longer looks like a clothes tornado ran through our room. Looks great and can hold 3-4 loads of laundry. I am big on separating colors in my laundry so I had been looking for a double hamper that wouldn’t break the bank For the price I paid, it looks pretty good – I purchased the grey one – and I’m happy with the functional aspect.
I’ve read other comments suggesting to purchase laundry bags to place in the compartments for easy unloading of laundry. I wholeheartedly agree with it. What we’ve been doing now is dragging the whole hamper, filled with clothes, to front hallway outside the laundry area. Since the hamper construction seems like it is cardboard, I know all this movement while it is at full capacity may eventually damage the hamper.
