I got the StoreYourBoard BLAT Tool Modular Garage Organization System, as I wanted to finally get my shovels and brooms off the garage floor.
Holy cow, this thing is BEAST. it’s built solid and has some serious weight to it. I would’ve thought the mounting panel would be one long piece, but it’s actually in two panels. It’s a little bizarre that both pieces are connect by a washer and screw, but they say it can be expandable in case you want to add more panels.
The hooks they provide are just as heavy duty as the mounting panel. The top and bottom hooks that are on the brackets connect to the two rails that are along the mounting panel. Once you get the hooks where you want them, simply tighten the thumb screws to lock them in place. It’s pretty genius how they made the hooks adjustable, as that will really come in handy with the various tools that I need to hang.
Knowing how well-built this organizer is, I will have no worries about if it will be able to handle the tools I put on it.

First off, product came very well packaged. Each component is securely packaged in a heavy duty plastic bag to protect it from rubbing together in transit. Parts are heavy duty steel and hardware is of good quality. Instructions are mostly clear, except that they could be more specific on which side of the washer faces the panel. It seemed obvious, but the picture in the instructions looked opposite of common sense, but I went with it anyway. I should have trusted my gut. A simple note about which radius size should face the panel would easily address the confusing image. I also felt the “back images” were confusing based on what the previous instructions had indicated. Bottom line is, follow your gut and you will do it right. However, even “right” is not very encouraging. Panels assemble together by a small inset sliding under the washer hardware. The mating piece does the same from the other side. So there is very little “meat” to the connection. If the mounting hardware is off even by less than 1/8″, the panels could easily slide out of the assembly. Panels also do not easily stay in place while you are mounting the next panel in the system, when you back off the screw so the subsequent panel can be added, the first one falls out. I actually found the assembly to be pretty frustrating. I have another brand name storage rack installed in my shed, but I needed a few more hooks to hang things on, so I decided to try this. Fortunately, the items I needed to hang are not heavy or particularly fragile, so if they fall, it won’t be much of an issue. I would however be hesitant to hang anything heavy or valuable on this system based on what I feel is an insecure mounting system. I am not sure why they didn’t just give you a standard hole to put the screw in, I suppose it is to minimize the number of holes you have to drill and screws you need to use, but the end result is a perfectly solid, high quality system, ends up feeling unstable. I only took off one star because other than the assembly and mounting, it is a good system. I just have to hope it doesn’t fall down… If it does, I will come back and take more stars away.

I like the modularity, expandability and strength of this garage wall hanging system. Each section of the two provided in this kit is designed to bolt into a standard 16″ wall stud spacing. Add more 16″ sections as needed in the future. The four elongated hooks per section can be added and removed without uninstalling the hanging system base. They can be spaced as necessary and secured in place. Most ordinary mortals won’t want to have to lift their push mower up and hang it on this hanging system, but it is nice to know that the hanging system can handle that great of load, a claimed 150 pounds per section.
A flexible garden tool organizational tool that all garages need.

I got this hanger kit to hold some heavy shovels in my shed and hoped it would be as robust as the pictures make it look. It is very well built and robust. I started with the 32″ one so it’s not able to hold too much but I like that you can add to it easily since it’s modular. Everything on it is metal including the hangers. They move/slide easily and you can lock them in place with some thumb screws. Really nice started kit.

I bought the 64-inch version. I could really use another 16-inch panel and a few more hangers, but I can’t find how to buy individual pieces from the company. This unit is more expensive than many others and in my opinion, well worth the price. Everything about this thing is superior quality, from the packaging to the hardware. It was easy to assemble, but the instructions could be more specific about how the system works. I was very careful drilling the holes exactly as instructed, so my install was successful, but I can see where if your holes are off by as little as a millimeter, you would be in trouble. Mine is in a storage shed with exposed studs, so it was quite easy to find the center of the first stud. Bottom line, everything positive in the product description is true. I just wish it were more expandable. I will probably buy another one of these for the garage.

These do a good job of hanging on the wall and keeping heavy stuff secured. I don’t worry at all about hearing a crash in the garage because something fell off the wall. They made my garage more organized and that made the wife happy. So you should get these if you want a happy wife.

This rack is definitely strong as described. It is heavy duty and up to the task of holding all kinds of heavy yard and land equipment. My husband had one is his shop for our array of shovels and rake type equipment but it doesn’t hold much quantity or weight wise. I thought this would be a good addition and it’s so nice that we will be ordering another and ditching the old one.
