For once, I didn’t purchase something from Amazon before reviewing! I picked up this set at a Kohl’s Off Aisle store for a great price. One of the lid buttons was stuck and wouldn’t seal, but by taking it off and unscrewing the base, I was able to reassemble it and fix it – well worth it considering the deal I got.
That said, I’ve been looking for a set of containers to organize my countertops, but the decent looking ones are always so expensive and I couldn’t justify the cost. I can honestly say that I would consider paying more for this set given the functionality of the push button “sealing”. The rubber gaskets get pushed down and sealed when you press the button down and it creates an airtight seal- the lid will absolutely not come off. When you’re ready to use, press the button and use it as a handle to separate the lid when it pops up. I was surprised to see they required absolutely no effort to lift off, which eliminates the two-handed struggle I’ve seen on other products. Simply press and pull the lid off without any resistance Super convenient.
They look great on my countertops and are easy to clean. The plastic is BPA free which is a big deal and they are very clear and sturdy.
I’ll have to give this brand a closer look to see what else they offer.

This is a great container! A little bit on the pricey side, but the pop button lid is so much simpler to use than a screw on cap, and seals better than a clip-closure/flip top. Perfect size for my powder laundry detergent!

I like making my own baby-wipes and bought this specifically for holding them after a convenient container I had around the house took its last tumble from the toilet tank.
PROS:
**It’s great for holding a roll of paper towels that have been cut in half–snug, not tight, with just over an inch of headspace between the top of the roll and the lid.
**The lid button makes one-handed opening and closing easy while holding a squirming, soiled infant in place with the other hand.
**Easy to clean between batches of baby wipes.
**Seal is good enough to keep baby wipes from losing their moisture over two weeks of use. (This has allowed me to dial in the amount of water I use to the ounce for perfectly moist baby wipes that will clean up the stickiest–or stinkiest–messes without leaving my baby’s skin wet. AMAZING.)
CONS:
**If it was just 1/2″ bigger in diameter, it would be PERFECT.
**Rubberized feet would keep this thing from skidding around on the toilet. Now if there were only a place where I could find some and have them delivered to my house… 😉

My daughter got me a 3-piece canister set of these to replace my 15+ year old Pig canisters (guess she thought I should come into the future)- I absolutely loved them; however as we all know, a canister set should include 4 canisters, so rather than buy the next size smaller to the one that I have for my flour, I decided to buy the one the same size- why? Well let’s think about it- when people purchase a can of coffee, they normally purchase the bigger size so when they pour it in their canister, they always have to find somewhere to store that can until they have emptied the canister or at least have room for the extra coffee. The larger size canister takes care of that- the larger can’s contents fit perfectly so you don’t have to find somewhere to store the can. AND with the great way the canister seals, your coffee is going to stay fresher longer. I am sold on all these OXO canisters and I think you will be too!

****08/28/15 Update: I have finally gotten rid of my pantry moths, thanks in part to the ability to seal items like brown rice in these containers. So far they have lived up to their claims. I did note that one of my lids could be pried off while ‘locked’. Upon further investigation I realized that the bottom portion of the lid that contains the rubber seal comes unscrewed (I assume for cleaning) and the lid for that particular canister was loose. I screwed it up tight, put it back on, and was not able to get the lid off in the ‘locked’ position again. I read some reviews that claimed there were issues with this, and now knowing that they can come loose might be a reason why they were coming off in the ‘locked’ position. I love them, and with winter coming, I may be ordering yet another set. ******* I received my order of two sets today. They arrived as advertised without any damage. Based on previous reviews I checked each canister for the quality of the seal. Some reviewers were reporting that the some of the lids were too hard to get off, and some were reporting that the lids were able to be pulled off even while under the vacuum seal. I am happy to report that all of mine fit the way I they were advertised. I was not able to pry any of them off without unlocking the middle nor were they too hard to get off once that locking mechanism was unlocked. They seem sturdy enough. l like the fact that they are clear, this will make what I have stored in them easy to see. The true test will be weeks down the road………when I can verify (or not) that what I have elected to put in these containers (rice, lentils, cornmeal) is not infected with pantry moths. I just had a very bad infestation (partly due to my lack of knowing about the little buggers!) and so began my hunt for an airtight container in the “not-so-expensive” range. I don’t mind paying what I did for these as long as they work. I’m giving these five stars for now, and only time will tell if I am able to come back and still give them five stars….or have to downgrade my review.

Realmente o pote é sensacional. Bem diferenciado, o botão na tampa é realmente incrível. Eu o usei para armazenar a ração de minha cachorra. Minha crítica é o preço do produto – pois se for pagar o valor original não recomendo -, valor muito alto para um pote hermético, só comprei, pois a Amazon fez uma bela de uma promoção e acabei pagando a metade do preço. Se tiver promoção novamente trocarei todos os potes de casa por esse modelo aí.

I like OXO and these seem to be worth buying and using.
I got tired of having my flour and sugar leak onto the counter whenever I opened the bag, so I figured I’d grow up and get some actual storage containers for them. They feel good, the lock part is super easy to use, no foldable plastic hinges to wear out, and easy to tell what’s inside.
A couple things to note, most people won’t be able to take these down from cupboards with just one hand and when you wash the lids, water gets trapped inside the locking mechanism even when you break the lid apart.

I use this for wet food even though it is meant for dry. I keep our dog’s raw food in it while it defrosts in the fridge. The dog food comes in an ice cream type container that can leak when defrosted. This keeps the food fresh and prevents leakage in the fridge.
