It is not huge but it is not to small it is just right.
The ball bearings allow it to spin freely even when heavily loaded.
I bought this at the time when I was upgrading a lot of my kitchen utensils. Well I came across this after I placed my order on a bunch of individual OXO kitchen utensils. I am glad this popped up somewhere for me to see and I ordered it. I did not think I needed to replace my current one until I saw this.
So far I am very happy, I have mine so loaded you would think it would tip over but it is sturdy and well balanced. Like I mentioned earlier the ball bearings allow this thing to spin around so smooth.
Where mine is located I had to manually turn my old one to gain access to the item I needed, now I just spin it. What a great idea. I am not sure if OXO was the first company to have one of these that spins but they sure did build one of quality.

This item was not as big as I was hoping, but it works well enough to hold my most commonly used kitchen utensils. The rotating bit is nice and glides easily. Stainless is stainless so of course there are fingerprints, but they clean off easily with stainless steel wipes.

Works well, the swivel is great! The little divots inside don’t really hold things upright as they aren’t very deep, my utensils still fall over.

I had a small plastic bucket sort of thing that I used for a few years, but one weekend away (leaving my SO to fend for herself in the kitchen) ended it’s life (along with the lives of a few other tools, but they will go unnamed!).
Well, I felt that I deserved a bit of an upgrade so I spent a bit more money than I was initially expecting to on this $20 utensil holder, and let me tell you I’m very glad I did. I mentioned it in the title, but this utensil holder holds many more things that it seemed like it would at first. The inside bottom of the holder is divided into little pockets, each with the space to hold something. This must be the trick, but I’m hardly an expert! All I know is that I can fit an extra tool or two that I should into each of the three sections that the holder divides itself into.
Besides this, there are a few nice touches that OXO added. The holder rotates, so you can just spin it to get at the tool you want instead of searching through or picking it up. The bottom of the holder is built on rubber, so it’s very stable (I don’t see any more incidents in the future) and no harm will come to any counter tops. All in all, a very useful tool in its own right.

This thing is so simple, yet incredibly useful for those looking to organize and save space. I live in an apartment with limited drawer space and purchased this nearly a year ago to store my whisks, dipping/stirring spoons, and even scissors. Not only did this save space, but it’s now far easier to quickly find what I’m looking for. It’s ability to rotate helps me find what I’m looking for without digging through drawers. Great product!
Pros:
– Ability to rotate
– 3-way split allows me to compartmentalize my various cooking tools
– Stainless steel stays looking nice even after a year of use next to our stove
– Rubber feet eliminate accidental sliding
Cons:
– A bit small (this is very relative, but I quickly maxed out what it can hold with my fairly average collection of cooking tools)

Love Oxo products! I needed a new utensil crock and wanted something that looked good and was useful. Too many searches led me to the standard crock with “utensils” written across it. Not what I was looking for. This crock rotates which is a huge plus to get to tools you don’t use as often. It did have some marks from the sticky tape like others mentioned but that was not a deal breaker for me. I did find that bigger heavier utensils do lean out a bit but you can strategically place them in towards the middle to stop this. I actually bought a second one for my baking utensils. A must buy if your looking for something nice looking and useful.
