It coveres the box spring and hangs below it to cover the area under the bed.
The corners are split which is SO nice for a bed with a footboard. There are even panels behind the split so the box spring and under bed are fully covered.
The corner bows are a very nice touch. Casually elegant. Perfect.

UPDATE: After a few weeks of use, the bedskirt appears to be ripping more along the melted/plastic part of the fabric. Usually Laura Ashley produces quality products, but this one is a huge disappointment. I would NOT make this purchase again if given the choice.

This a great product and one of the best bed shirts we have purchased. It fits the bed perfectly and hangs down at the exact spot that you want the bed skirt. The corner ties are a nice added detail. It did require a bit of ironing once it was removed from the package, but overall very soft and looks great! Great price and looks amazing

One of the sides was missing a tie for the bow. Also was not even – it was substantially higher on one side than the other.

This bed skirt needs to be ironed when you take it out of the package but it looks so good on your bed. Make sure you measure the actual distance you need from the top of your box spring to the floor. This length was perfect for me – just about 1/2 inch above the floor. If I had purchased a longer size, it would have looked bad.
