I was taken a back at how small this thing is compared to all the YouTube video reviews I watched. However its size is right on par with being useful in every way. The pliers are big enough to get most household jobs done and can be stretched to do things well beyond what their size is normally capable and the gears make it easy to apply plenty of pressure with no problem. The gears don’t stretch too far either, so it doesn’t feel like a pain to twist.
Don’t expect swiss machining which could make a chocolate watch. The materials and machining are suffice. You’re not getting Excalibur, you’re getting a very useful tool.
If I had any complaints it would be that while the scissors are plenty sharp, they suck and are a pain to use. Don’t expect to cut through most packaging with the scissors.
The knife is double sided sharp.
The saw is one sided sharp.
The can opener is dull.
The Flat-head is tiny and is mostly likely made for eyeglasses.
The Philips-head is surprisingly versatile (I thought is looked back but was proven wrong through use.) It has enough size and teeth for jobs.
The bit driver works awesome. Magnet is hardly needed considering how much torque the gears offer in holding the bit.
The price is a bit steep, but this is definitely a best EDC carry. Worth Getting.

I like the SOG PowerPint for its light weight at 4.2 ounces, and decent collection of all locking tools. The tools are unlocked by pressing on the spring loaded push plates at the end of the handles. The size of the tool hits a sweet spot between the full size and key ring multitools. I have them in all my Get Home Bags. The pliers have a two times geared leverage which is fairly unique. The file is three sided, so it could be used as a soft metal saw. The file also strikes a ferro rod well. The reamer-punch-awl is better than average. The PowerPint has a nice 1/4″ hex bit driver with a magnetic bit retainer that is used with the tool folded, and the bits mount on the hinged end of the tool. Only one side of the bit driver has a magnet, and a magnet on each side would be better, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem. I like the PowerPint, but it is not ideal in my opinion. The stainless steel could be better as it has a fairly low carbon content, and the knives will probably need to be sharpened often. I would rather have a flat blade screwdriver than the hook cutter that doesn’t add much function when there are both plain and serrated knife blades. I solved that problem in my Get Home Bags by adding a few hex bit screw drivers. I also added a hex bit to 1/4″ socket drive adapter so that I can drive 1/4″ sockets. The jewelry driver is a 2 mm flat blade screwdriver that can be used on eye glass screws. The protractor function is useless as I can’t read the angle markings even with a magnifying glass. Maybe a SOG video on how to use the protractor would help. The ruler function is limited as there are multiple gaps in the ruler over the length of the tool. The clip works well, but I don’t need it, and I would rather remove it to save some weight. It is retained by a T8 torx screw, and if you remove the clip, you will have to replace it with a small stainless steel washer to make up the lost space. All in all I like the PowerPint as a versatile, compact multitool.

It’s too early to write a proper review yet, but it looks promising and it’s so tiny and I just love to keep it in my hands , beautiful tool-toy ( I can feel it can do the job).

This isn’t a leatherman and that’s clear, but it’s not trying to be. Carried this daily for almost a month until I lost it camping. You’d be surprised the amount of use you can get out of this thing in day to day life. Rugged and well constructed, the only con I can point out is the rust. It had gotten a little wet in the rain and I thoroughly dried it out but still ended up will small rust spots. Overall a great tool at a great size, weight and price.

Bonita. Fácil de llevar por su tamaño. Pero no se queda “retenida”. Aún así recomendada para EDC de usos ligeros !!

Zero criticism. Very well designed and made. Perfect size for EDC in your pocket or tucked in your waistband. I attached an Uncle Bill’s Silver Gripper to the lanyard ring. I carry this PowerPint all the time. It’s both useful and convenient.
It feels great in the hand. The plier head and mechanism are very well made and work easily. The pocket clip is especially good.
I LOVE my original Leatherman. Period. I’ve had it for over 25 years. I’d intended to Cary it daily but it’s just too big for pocket carry. Sure I’ve got the original leather belt pouch but that’s too much trouble and looks oddball. Additionally, I don’t like advertising what I’ve got because people want to borrow it – we know what that leads to. So, I only take it fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, etc. EDC? And I mean EVERY day carry. No.
Is this SOG PowerPint better than my original Leatherman? Side by side with no other considerations, NO! My old Leatherman is way better. However, my old Leatherman has never done me any good sitting at home on a shelf when I needed it. I’m carrying the PowerPint.
I’m completely satisfied and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone.

I used to carry a Gerber dime but couldnt keep an edge on the blade due to low quality steel. It also has poor grip with the “pliers”…useless. I bought this on a whim and LOVE IT! Stays sharp and works well as a pliers. Worth the money! I didnt want a multi tool on my belt. I just put this inside my front pocket with the clip and it’s ready to go in a second. I have a small farm so I find myself using this every day.
