Very easy to put together, and nice tires for plenty of traction. This is my wife’s first bike, and she hasn’t rode one in over 40 years. It took her 2 days to master the balance and peddle, however now she has been biking with this blue bike for 2 weeks now and gaining confidence. The braking is smooth, shift from gear to gear up or down does not take much effort. The stock bike seat is decent, but she complained about how hard it is, so I bought here a very soft seat with small shock cushions and extra foam so she can enjoy the ride when she is peddling instead of being in pain. So, I’d recommend a much softer seat if you’re looking at this bike to purchase. Overall, she is quite happy with this bike, and though it’s a hybrid bike, it’s perfect for those just starting off in the biking experience. Seat is fully adjustable up or down, and it’s great for those who want to gain confidence when first setting out. Came on time when shipped…and it is a very light bike… aluminum frame…solid components…what isn’t there to like. Plus it was in my wife’s favorite color. One of her best birthday gifts she could imagine because her and her siblings fought over 1 bike when they were little. Now: she has her own. What is there not to like about a Schwinn anyway…

I will begin with pack only. Soon as I opened the box, I doubted myself if I ordered the wrong bike or what. It came with a completely different bike manual than I had ordered. I had no idea or couldn’t figure out how am i supposed to assemble it at all. I googled the manual reached out to email mentioned on the manual but no response than at last I searched YouTube and found similar (NOT THE SAME BIKE) videos than I googled the parts name and matched it with the one I have and assembled it so all of it took me over 2 days to do extensive research and watching several videos and search parts name.
Then halfway through I noticed some parts wouldn’t go together at all Like screws won’t it and the handle rubber would go in I took half assembled bike to Walmart and then asked for someone’s help to buy the parts and finally assembled it. It was such a nightmare I absolutely condemned the person who packed the products or whoever it was manual, and parts are the first thing you need. I was more tired of all the effort to find and figure it out than I would have after ridging it.

Out of the box I had issues with the paddles there not good threads were aliitle messed up I tap n died it and bought rock bros paddles witch are 100 times better quality so problem solved there yes the seat is hard but I’m 374lbs so I upgraded to bigger seat I have 45psi in the tires and this bike hold me up very well I got around 60kms on the bike so far the quality of the bike is great I can’t complain of the parts I upgraded I love this bike and don’t regret buying it like I said I was 374lbs when I started on this bike I’m not 360 ish and plan to put alot more kms on it I’m extremely happy with it. I’d go as far as saying I’d recommend it beautiful bike great ride. Also be careful with putting paddles one goes on the right way the other one tighten counter clockwise I think this where I went wrong and messed it up but either way the paddle it comes with is trash lol over all bike other then paddles are great quality I will post video of the upgrades I did but over all buy this bike you won’t be disappointed remember the way to tighten paddles looks like alot of us screwed that up judging on bad reviews

Bike came packaged well, no damage to the box or bike. Assembly was straight forward, seat, handle bars, peddles and front tire. However, the instructions were generic. I just needed to adjust the front disc brake and lube the chain. After 75 miles biking, I decided to make minor adjustments to the front and rear derailleur. New bikes will get cable stretch and need adjustment after break-in. The front derailleur was making a ticking noise which was the chain rubbing. I looked at a couple of videos on adjusting the front and rear derailleurs. I made adjustment and the bike shifts smoother and quieter. The disc brakes are good, but my 20 year old Specialized mountain bike with “V” brakes are better. The tires are 700 X 38c which equate to 28″ X 1.5″ and are perfect size for a hybrid bike. The seat was comfortable, I do not understand all the critics about the seat. My Specialized mountain bike seat is much harder. The GTX seat is not as comfortable as a fat, dual spring cruiser seat, but those seats can cause chaffing. The bike rides smooth, fast and comfortable with the help of the front suspension forks. Also, the bike looks good. The 18″ frame is perfect for me at 5′ 11″ and 210 lbs. Some have criticized the chain braking and tires pinching. I keep the chain lubed, shift gears property by avoiding chain stress gear shifting and have no issues. I keep 65 psi (max 70 psi) in the tires and have no issues of pinched tires. I find 65 psi a good balance for both speed and comfort. The Schwinn Elite GTX is exactly what I wanted . A Hybrid bike that is quicker and more comfortable on the road or gravel than my Specialized mountain bike. i would recommend the Schwinn Elite GTX hybrid bike. Pricing will vary depending on supply and demand, but i paid $450 shipped and can’t complain. Most aluminum frame bikes with shimano derailleurs, disc brakes and front suspension cost around $600 plus. This bike is a good value when supply can fulfill demand at $450.

I received the item late, and upon trying to set it up, I realized that the guide provided was for another model. I visited their website and found the same issue. I decided to open a claim with them on Sunday, but they didn’t respond until I called them on Thursday. After the call, they finally started processing my claim. During the conversation, they assured me that they would send the missing parts to my address and suggested that I take it to a local store for setup, promising reimbursement.
After the call, they sent me an email containing links on how to set up the bike and adjust the brakes. However, even after watching those videos, I still found it challenging to set it up correctly. When I requested reimbursement for the local store’s assistance, they refused to provide it.
Feeling frustrated, I went to a local store, and they quoted me $140 to get the bike properly assembled. At this point, I decided to return the item, as the overall experience was disappointing. I strongly advise against purchasing any bike from them.
