It’s a nice bike, has some little issues such as the gear shifters not aligning. Expect to do adjustments but overall I am happy with it.

Easy to assemble. Easy to ride. Suspension is very comfortable. Shifting is very smooth and precise after small adjustment.
Not a bike or seller problem but the box it came in was destroyed completely, shipping process was obviously rough and careless and slightly bent the front wheel. Can be easily repaired so not worth contacting anyone. I’m sure it was a one time thing.

Can’t add ratings as I haven’t yet completed assembly and test ridden the bike, and there’s a couple reasons why. First of all whoever put the front fork of the bike together on the frame put it on backwards. And the other problem is that the fork itself was welded crooked. The fork dropouts and the brake caliper are angled incorrectly and isn’t parallel with the frame.
UPDATE: 2 year, 10 month update!
This bike’s frame is pretty much indestructible. Schwinn designed a very durable frame, but is outdated in terms of geometry and it’s derailleur hanger; it’s not removable/replaceable. The head tube angle could be much slacker, somewhere around 67 degrees, and internal cable routing would be nice, too. Other than those “issues”, I have grown to love this bike. I take it every where: commuting, agressive leisurly city riding, and to a few local trails. IF upgraded with the right parts, this bike will be very comfortable, very forgivable, fast even, and easy to learn mountain biking on. Mine has been upgraded with the following parts:
WTB ST-i25 wheelset w/Continental Race King 2.2 tires
    Shimano HG-400 9 speed cassette
Shimano Alivio 9 speed rear derailleur
KMC 9 speed SL gold chain
Shimano tourney 3x crankset with Shimano bottom bracket
    DNM AOY-36RC rear shock (165 x35mm)
SR SunTour XCR32 120 MM front suspension
Shimano BR-M375 front and rear resin pad brake calipers
9 speed Shimano Altus rear shifter, 3 speed front shifter
Alivio brake levers, front and rear
FSA zero stack, integrated 1 1/8 headset
    780mm Wake black handlebar
    Wake adjustable stem
    Carbon fiber spacers
    Carbon fiber bottle holder
I’m very happy with what the bike for it’s level, and will recommend it for any beginner like myself who is mechanically inclined and uses common sense when assembling and replacing parts.
    4 star bike!

I went to the local bike shop and the owner pointed out that since I am nearly 6 foot 6 inches tall, I needed a larger bike, but they were out of stock and the waiting list was months long. So, I ordered the bike online from Schwinn’s Amazon store on sale for $549 USD. It typically sells for $799 USD.

When the box was delivered, I tried to put it together myself. On my first attempt to ride, the front wheel and handlebars immediately loosened, aiming in different directions. I ended up paying the local bike shop $60 USD to put it together properly for me. I had made a number of mistakes and stripped three hex screws in the process. The instructions were confusing and they did not provide the hex tools needed to put it together. I would have at least appreciated the right bits. Also, the tires PSI should really be in the manual. It is difficult to read raised black print on a black tire.

Other than the seat needing more padding for my boney behind, which is wholly a me problem, I rather love it. I will need to get used to the new shifters. I ended up spending $200 USD just on further upgrades, like lights, mirror, air pump, helmet and a water bottle holder.

I waited until I had over 400 miles on the bike before writing a review, and so far, so good. I wanted a low priced dual suspension mountain bike to ride 3 – 4 times a week for about 25 miles at a time. My old bike had 26 inch wheels and no suspension, this one rides much better. I know that the suspension parts are not the best as they are just springs, but they seem adequate for my needs which is mostly on paved and an occasional fire road. If you need rear locking or want dampening, you will need to spend a lot more money.

I ordered the matte black and blue model mostly because it looked like it had mounts for a water bottle cage, and it does. It also came with a side stand. In 400 miles, I have not had any problems, and have not had anything get loose or fall off. I assembled it myself, and didn’t have any problems or missing parts.

I am 6′ tall and weigh 185, the bike fits well and has a nice ride, I really like the 29″ wheels. I am glad that I bought it and would recommend it to a friend as long as they are over 5′ 10″.

    UPDATE @ 3000 miles:
The tires are almost shot, but I am going to try to get 3500 out of them. The only issue so far was the crank bearings got loose @ 2500 miles. I wanted to clean and grease them anyway so I ordered a crank puller and started. What I found was the fixed race was loosening (I never checked it before) and after a thorough cleaning and fresh grease, it was as good (better) than new.

I thought that I would upgrade to an air shock, and I wish that I would have done this sooner. It made a huge difference. I found a cheap shock on the auction site E-B** for a little over $30 (HTL-100 MTB) the 150 mm shock is 5mm too short and the 165mm shock is 10 mm too long. I didn’t want to lower the ground clearance since I was already rubbing the pedals on corners, so I installed the 165mm shock, but if lower ground clearance is not an issue go with the 150mm. The 165mm shock works fine but the kick stand is a little short now, but I really like the ground clearance, and the ride has really improved over both small and large bumps.

Disappointed. Purchased this for my son and upon putting the bike together (we followed all directions to a tee, so it wasn’t user error) had to take the bike into a bike shop to have them fix it. They had to fix the gears as they were not switching properly and they advised on servicing the breaks that one of the disks is slightly bent. It’s functional but not great quality. So on top of paying the price for the bike we had to pay an extra $100 to have the bike in working order.
