Surprisingly much lighter than an old Suntour XC-Pro Microdrive crankset I pulled off my wife’s bike, especially given that crank had aluminum middle & big rings, and this seems to have all steel rings. Much cheaper than replacing her worn chainrings and looks good and works well too.

Last time I replaced my chain rings it turned into a long process of re dialing in my front derailer. I dropped these in to replace the last ones i had and zero issues so far! Paired it with some Oneup peddles and a new shimano Bottom bracket and my bike feels new!

I have a 2005 Specialized Hardrock disc mountain bike with TruVativ crankset. One day the pedal came out of the crank arm and I found that the aluminum threads in the arm had been stripped. I bought a tap and helicoil set to fix it because the local bike shop wanted too much to do it. I ended up wasting $20-30 and my time on that because it didn’t end up working. After a ton of research on a replacement crankset (because TruVativ doesn’t make mine anymore), I settled on this one. The bike shop installed it in no time at all and I have been riding it for a year problem free.

Got this as a replacement for a Stout that came on my 2016 Specialized Rockhopper. I purchesed this because the one my bike came with did not have a replaceable small ring which is the one I Primarily use on most local trails. It made it through an entire cross country race season plus all the training in between and I gotta say I’m really happy with it. Mud, muck, sand and all the dusty conditions plus all the jumping and it didn’t show any signs of fatigue or stress so I’m gonna keep on rockin it. 🙂

This is now my 3rd S600 crank set. I have them on all of my bikes. I use this to replace my SRAM X9 GXP fancy shmancy external BB crank. I use them all as single ring cranks. My others are p-spline interface but I prefer the square taper of this crank due to the reliability and selection of available square taper BB’s. Note: I take the chain rings off and just use the crankset with a better single ring (like race face or surly). The chain rings that come on this are total cr@p and I would not use them if given the choice. But the crank is perfect, especially for a retro grouch like me or someone looking for simple and cost effective functionality.

Replaceable rings are great, superior to cheaper non-replaceable rings.
Annoyed with buying a more expensive Shimano non-replaceable set that wore away in less than two years. I decided on the SRAM, cheaper by far than the Shimano equivalent and you can replace a ring for less than £20. You can tune the ring size to suit your requirements. Been riding for about six months now using Dry Film Lube, no sign of any wear. Definitely recommend.
