The adult version of this helmet is advertised as having removable earmuffs – they are not removable. Their support has no idea what this products features are and flip flopped between saying this feature is available/isn’t available/is only for newer models/was only for older models. They are also don’t care or are unwilling to help.
If your intention is to use this helmet with earmuffs and to never remove them, it’s a fine product. Otherwise, don’t bother because you won’t be getting the features advertised.
Edit: Retrospec support finally got their act together and figured out that the earmuffs are, in fact, removable. At least in this iteration of the product, you have to pull very hard (to the point where it feels like you could be damaging the earmuffs/helmet) to pull the earmuffs out.
Their support could still be better, but the product delivered on the features specified.

Genuinely thought it was just me until i looked at the bad reviews after buying. first try on with my new goggles, there’s was barely space for the goggles to fit correctly. so much down pressure on them and it’s just crazy uncomfortable. i thought it were the goggles so i returned those and bought another pair. well, the other pair came in just in time for my ski trip, and low and behold, it’s the helmet. borrows a friends pair just to triple check. not to mention how oddly shaped it is. though i do prefer safety over style, i would also not like to look like megamind. i should mention that the padding is so thin. you press on it and you can feel the styrofoam instantly. so negative points for safety aaaand style. and room for goggles. i should’ve returned it.

Helmet fits well and is comfortable. Had a little more room than the other medium helmets in case your at the top end of the Medium size range or just like some room. Looks good.

So far this ski helmet is super comfortable and kept my head & ears warm with the comfy ear pads during my recent ski trip. It’s well made, light and breathable for such a low price. To be honest though, the dome of this helmet does seem to be a bit higher in design and not streamlined. Makes my head and face look oddly shaped. This might put off some of those users that want to look fashionable at the slopes. As for me it’s not a big deal so long as the helmet does its job when the time comes. Only time will tell on how long this helmet will last me but I’m confident that this helmet will save my noggin for many more ski seasons.
Also, this helmet is versatile as it converts to a bike and/or skate helmet per manufacturer’s stated description. I recently purchased an adult electric scooter too and I used it as my helmet during my cold morning rides. I feel much better using this as my helmet instead of a traditional bike helmet as it surrounds my whole noggin better. The best thing about this is that when the weather eventually gets warm, I can easily remove the ear padding and inner mesh net to match the weather conditions.
I would highly recommend this helmet for price value and function. Aesthetics wise it’s up to the user. It’s not the best looking helmet in a fashionable sense.

The ears are removable which is nice depending on how warm you’d like to be and held up well! No scratching or chipping of the colour either.

Light weight, well built, looks good, good fit with googles…. But! The head fit is a little to short front to back. It’s feels a little to much pressure on the forehead. But not annoying enough to not using it.

Checked all of my boxes and matches my esthetic perfectly while protecting my brain. Win-Win. Used the size chart and fit me perfectly. IF you like to wear thick headgear underneath then i’d size up but can fit a thin layer while still remaining comfortable.
