just got haven’t tried but fast shipping. rod is 12 foot & heavy, will work fine.
BPalmer –
This is a really nice rod. I use it mostly for surf fishing and flinging lures out a long ways to get to feeding fish. It’s great. Eyes are really good and secure and the hook keeper is perfectly placed. The rod is well balanced and I am impressed.
William Tidwell –
I bought this to use for surf fishing. I love the length and how light it is. I used it this past summer and loved it. Easily able to cast very far. Caught several 3 to 4 foot sharks in it.

It’s huge
Great for shore fishing
Strong rod
Great for bottom bouncing
OK for float fishing
Not good for everyday casting
It’s big and heavy
I’m big and strong, I have fun with it
But it has a great place in my fishing fun
I’m very happy with this rod
I could have never afforded anything like this when I was younger

Looks like a good rod. Definitely feels like it when I received it twice!
First time it was delivered the bottom part was missing. Talked with customer service and they sent a replacement. Second one got here and two guides were broken.
Packaging is the problem. It’s shipped with no protection and nothing holding it together but a thin plastic bag.
I won’t be trying a third time. Waste of time and waste of a good product that’s just sent out to get destroyed in the shipping process.

Pair with an 8k plus reel, she’s a’ biggun. Great value, a little firm for my tastes but a fine cheap rod to huck out some lead and bait.
Daniel Fitzgerald –
I bought this rod I think two seasons ago, I give it a ten star rating but the reel I ordered for it from Amazon a Penn 300 series made in China is Junk and at a hundred bucks it was a rip off

First off I want to thank amazon for packaging this item well for shipping it arrived in perfect shape. This is very light for its size I got the 12’ for surf let me start with the eyelets they are super tough like you can’t even flex them they got four legs supports and the rod it self is super stiff too feels like a broom stik which is good if you want to throw these heavy weights across the surf. This rod is for big stuff guys don’t get this if you planning on catching small fish it will wench them in like nothing. But it’s ideal for sharks and big jacks and snooks etc.. over all this rod is great and for the price you can get multiple on3s and have your self a nice surf setup ready to handle some giant whales.
