A glance at the instructions is all it took for learning the correct assembly. Easy-peasy! Feels good to sit on. Two of the casters are lockable. The height extenders are recommended!

The included open-end wrench is little-bitty and quite hard to handle. The included hand pump is a joke and just sucks. Fortunately, we have other pumps that perform better. And the 52cm ball is too small to reach a useful height at our century-old desk, so we’re gonna go big and get a 65cm ball to make it happen.

A lot of the reviews on here state that the ball is a child’s ball, doesn’t fit, etc. But some reviews insisted that it was. So I went in with some apprehension, had the problem been solved? I definitely worried when I first inflated mine that the ball was the wrong size, but IF YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS it will tell you to let the ball stretch for 24 hours deflate 50% and fill again. I would add that you might need to do this more than once. I was still not at the full size on the 2nd day, but waited another 24 hours (didn’t deflate) and added some more air and then did it again the next day. So all in all, it took four days to get my ball to the right size, but the chair is at my work office and not at my house, so you may be able to get it fully inflated sooner, I just intentionally took my time with it.
As far as comfort? The ball ends up being a lot firmer than I realized it would be, but that’s better for your posture. I appreciate that it fits under my desk so that I can have that space open when I need it. I spend a lot of time at work sitting, so I appreciate that I’m getting some work on my core while at my desk. A worthwhile investment.

THIS IS A TERRIFIC BALL SEAT WHICH HELPS EASE MY SICATICA PAIN. IT WORKS EVEN BETTER WITH THE LEG EXTENSIONS BECAUSE IT GIVES YOU 2 EXTRA INCHES. I CAN’T SIT ON IT 24/7 BUT EVERY MINUTE THAT I USE THE BALL MY BACK GETS BETTER AND I CAN FEEL MYSELF SITTING CORRECTLY EVEN WHEN I AM NOT GRYING TOO.. I AM ACTUALLY THINKING ABOUT GETTING 2 MORE, 1 FOR ME AND ONE FOR A FRIEND WHO HAS BACK PROBLEMS TOO.

For the price this is exactly what I expect. Easy to assemble. Takes 24 hours to get the ball to fullsize so don’t plant on using it immediately. They only issue I have is the wheels lock so easily I always lock them on accident making it harder to move.

I am using a fabric covered ball that I purchased separately long ago (pro body). The base is easy to assembly. I had to let quite a bit of air out of the ball to get it to the height I wanted. But I use this several hours each day. Very happy with it.

I’m still not sure about this chair. I found the directions very confusing, but I’ll admit, I don’t really put many things together. That’s usually my husband’s department. I always like reading directions, but this was a very confusing picture, which my husband ended up having to help me with (maybe it’s me!).
Once it was put together, I sat on it at my desk, and found it to be very comfortable, although a bit short (I’m 5’5″). Luckily my desk has a pull-out drawer which stores my keyboard and mouse. If I would have had a desk with these things on the top, there’s no way this would have worked.
I was probably on the chair for about 40 minutes, and everything was fine…til I tried to get up. My tailbone was killing me! And my right hip was screaming too! Not sure if I just need to get used to it, or maybe there’s another way I should be sitting on it? Not sure (anyone else have this problem?). I immediately ordered the extensions, although I agree with others – it should come with. There is no way the ball is even close to the size they said it would be! If I would have kept filling it with air, it would’ve burst. It feels a bit like a kid’s size ball, and I have experience with Gaiam yoga balls. If it wasn’t for a visiting dog at my home many years ago, I’d still have my yoga ball which would have fit perfectly. I agree with others that the size of the ball is definitely smaller than what Gaiam says it is, and they know it. Which is why the extensions should be included in the package.
I’ll keep using it, and hope that my tailbone and hip stop screaming over time. Maybe the extensions will help, time will tell. I love the look of it too, and that it basically slides under most of my desk. I also love that two of the rolling casters lock into place.
Update: I ended up really liking the chair…until one of the metal pieces broke right off. Looks like several people have had this problem. Gaiam, do you offer another metal piece? I really don’t want to purchase another chair for one part. I’m not the only one with this problem, so you may want to consider that.

So far I absolutely love my new balance ball chair. It makes sitting at a desk easier than it ever has been for me, which wasn’t comfortable before. It practically forces you into the correct posture, but in a non-intrusive way, plus you can exercise while sitting – and active sitting is much better than just slouching while working. I highly recommend it, especially if you have joint or posture issues. Also, bouncing is fun, it feels like a seated trampoline lol, plus it’s just the cutest. 🙃

As I do a lot of sitting in front of a computer, and have developed lower back pain, I’ve tried a bunch of things over the years (standing desk etc) but the best thing was one of those yoga balls but I find it too low.
This balance ball chair is great, the ball is smaller than a typical balance ball but because of the wheel base is actually taller. Its easy to assemble, took maybe 20 mins.
So far I’ve been using it for a week and I find it very comfortable to sit on. I saw other products like this with a back rest but I find I don’t need one.
The price is very reasonable too, most of the similar products with the back rest are double the price.

Love, love, love this chair. Helps me with my posture and lower back pain when sat too long at a desk. Can’t recommend this item more. My hip pain and lower back pain is gone just like my massage therapist recommended. Easy to assemble. It comes with instructions as well as an exercise sheet to do with the seat. It feels solid and well crafted. The height of the seat works great for me without extenders (I’m 5.5 feet or 167cm). This model has the option to add extensions for taller people which is great. I inflated the ball in several steps as recommended and worked great. Couldn’t be happier with it.

This ball chair is good quality, sturdy and just as expected. It helps me sit up straight and allows me to move and stretch throughout the day as needed vs a standard office chair where I was sitting on the edge of my seat trying to get into the right spot. My back was hurting and impossible to get comfortable. Now I am in better shape at work!
