I’ve purchased CeraVe’s Acne Fighting Cream Cleanser with Benzoyl Perixide several times for myself & my teenage Son. I have acne prone skin I have under control but at times blackheads begin to appear on my nose. One night of applying this cleanser the next morning they’re barely visible! My Son has battled acne more widespread. This has been a heaven sent for him. He cleanses his face morning & night with this & it has made a HUGE difference with his acne.There’s not much battling anymore period. What was widespread is now minimal. The benzoyl peroxide truly kills any acne forming or acne that has formed on his face. His face is clearer now with little new acne forming. I knew this was a strong cleanser so we slowly introduced it to his skin. He has fairly sensitive skin so we began with once a day. Moisturizing right after is a DEFINITE! This tightens up your face which is then in need of a good moisturizer. CeraVe has 2 great moisturizers to combine with this cleanser. There is little scent to it. It comes out more watery vs. other cleansers. I/we let it sit for about 1 minute to let it truly to its job. Since this is a harsher facial ingredient I never mix it with a retinol. The 2 will create extreme dryness with irritation. I learned the hard way. A gentle moisturizer is best to use only after using this. I will use it at night only because I have a skin regime in the morning which wouldn’t allow me to use this. What I love about CeraVe’s product line is they come with the 3 essential ceramides, hyaluronic acid & niacinamide~2 wonderful ingredients for our skin. If you’re battling acne this cleanser is definitely worth purchasing. Be aware this will leave markings on colored wash cloths & towels~ due to the benzoyl peroxide. For all this offers the price is really amazing because this 5 ounce tube/bottle does have longevity to it because you don’t need much to cover your face. This doesn’t foam up. With a little water it’s more like a layer you apply to your skin. I see it more as a treatment for a female. This will not remove makeup ladies. I use CeraVe’s Hydrating Micellar Water to cleanse my face before using this. For my Son he can get away with just using this to cleanse his face. We both have gentle silicone scrubbers to help work it into our skin. I hope my personal experience helps you decide if this is for you. A trusting name with a specific purpose. It’s worth the buy!

Doesn’t dry out your skin, has no scent, makes your skin soft but not ‘dry soft’, doesn’t make skin oily at all. Overall it’s a great cleanser and treatment. Gentle but strong at keeping breakouts under control. I’ve never noticed any dying of towels or sheets with this either which is a plus. This is the only BP product that isn’t irritating but actually works at the same time. As long as you let it sit on your skin for a couple of minutes before rinsing, it works great.

I originally got this for my now 19 year old. It cleared his skin within three months. He used this wash, the stridex wipes and then the CeraVe moisturiser ever day and night. As we live in Australia during the day he swapped the moisturiser for one with sun screen.
He now uses the oily skin wash. As he is now in the Australian Army, Amazon makes it easy to send the packages straight to him with face wash etc.
I now have my daughter on this she doesn’t have acne but those small bumps and as she wears make up this stuff is fantastic. She takes the make up off first (always double cleanse) then uses this wash, the stridex wipes and a CeraVe her skin is glowing

I’ve been bouncing between Garnier and Neutrogena over the years, but CeraVe is by far the best one I’ve used! It’s been 10 days since I started using this and I’m already noticing the improvement with my skin. The scent is neutral. It’s very gentle and doesn’t leave my face feeling like I used a bar of soap. It also helps manage my oily skin!

I really works. I use it on my face and my wife on her back. We saw it working within two days. Now 2 months in and we are pimple free! Btw.. make sure you put on a really good moisturizer right after because it will dry your skin.

As someone with an oily skin type will likely tell you: it’s harder to find products tailored to our concerns that aren’t harsh and drying or cause breakouts. This cleanser is EXACTLY what I needed. Before, when I washed my face, I would be greasy and my skin felt…dirty by the middle of the day. I don’t like to sound dramatic, but this Cerave cleanser has been a game changer. It’s mild, doesn’t dry my skin out, and the clean feeling lasts all day. My face has never felt so soft and smooth in the last 30 or so years since puberty started the flow of oil coming out of my skin. lol
That said, I also used the Cerave resurfacing retinol serum. I was originally going to spend what I spent for both of these on just one from a luxury brand name that starts with a “T”. So glad I decided to go with the Cerave and save some money (Christmas is coming up fast).
