This is exactly what I wanted and I received. Best formula I have found to date. 10 star review as I couldn’t find my shade in three local stores so I’m very thankful I was able to order on Amazon. No flaws and received in 2 days. Will definitely be ordering my monthly bottle on here rather than bothering being on the hunt in the city stores.

I had been using EL double wear foundation for years. It’s gotten very expensive – about $50 a bottle now. I started looking for something cheaper and this Almay foundation is very close to the Estee L formula. This has a matte finish, doesn’t transfer onto clothes or phone. Lasts all day. Medium to full coverage. Feels lightweight – I can’t stand a heavy feeling foundation!). Doesn’t have a smell. I did have to mix two colors together to get the right shade (neutral buff beige and neutral sun beige). I have combination dry and oily aging skin (40 yrs old). I live in FL and usually need matte finish for the humidity. I’m very happy to have tried this.

I was pleasantly surprised by this foundation. I bought it without any big expectations but it is now one of my favorites! I have fair to light neutral/warm tones & chose the Neutral-Buff shade. I’m 37 & am starting to get some dark circles, red spots & breakouts every now and then so this works well for all that. Great for my skin tone too. It does have more warm yellow neutral tones rather than pink/red. I actually prefer more yellow tones in a foundation, just not too much. The coverage is full which I need at times when I break out. I love that it’s long staying top. It’s texture is most like Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is my favorite foundation. This is the closest dupe that I’ve found to it, so I hope Almay keeps making this product to alternate my expensive EL with drugstore prices. I use pressed powder on top but you don’t even need a powder because this is matte & sets faster than other foundations. It really doesn’t budge. I’d recommend a light moisturizer underneath this if you have dry skin. Oh, and I’m not wearing any concealer in the pictures, just used a sponge.

I love Almay and like a lot of reviews mention, it’s hard to find in stores for some reason. I was originally looking for the one I’ve always used – Almay TLC foundation, but no luck. This seemed to be the next closest and I’m so glad I ordered it! So silky smooth, great coverage and long wearing. This is the only makeup brand that doesn’t give me a shiny T-zone, and I’ve tried a lot of matte foundations. Keeps my skin looking soft and fresh, but doesn’t shine. Highly recommend!

I have been using Almay for years. I love the quality of the foundation. The consistency of thickness but not to thick. A light coat goes a long way. I like the appearance of the makeup when applied. A true value.

After reading the reviews I thought it’s either this line of Almay foundation or the one with the light green cap. I have cystic acne and I am pushing 40. My skin is Mediterranean in nature but mixed with many ethnicities. I was concerned that the shade I picked would be too light but it’s a perfect winter shade. Despite my skins oil, I did notice that the foundation does have a bit of a flake effect. No big deal, I just used setting spray yesterday and today on day two, I used moisturizer. My skin wasn’t completely without oil at the end of the day but WOW I do have to say that my skin does look more flawless. I still have some visible acne scarring on my neck from my cystic acne but the coverage did lighten it. Overall I am impressed. I’ve never used Almay skin products. I don’t seem to have any new acne ( day two of use) . It does seem to stay on except when I blow my nose (underneath the nose, the foundation wipes off a bit) but again no big deal for me. Highly recommend

I had one other bottle of the same foundation and had the same issue but there are few liquid foundations out there with the same color of absolute pale that matches my skin tone. I’ve found that when using a sponge I can apply small amounts by dabbing on my face. Depending on the lighting, I will or will not notice that it has caked up or smeared somewhere on my face. If the room you are in, or your face temperature, is a certain degree of warm then it will leave your face looking streaked. The only thing that fixes it is washing and starting again.
I give it kudos for a few small details, however. When it goes on smoothly, it makes for a nice even and natural looking finish. When powders are applied on it, they go on smooth and look beautiful. I have never felt like it was on too thick, my face doesn’t feel heavy or like if I smile it will crack. It feels perfectly normal and I often forget it is on until time to wash it off. I do use an Elf setting spray but on days I’ve forgotten it, the wear/fade/smudge is minimal. I’m still in search of a powder or liquid that just matches my tone for an even and natural, thin, coat of makeup. This one is close but still remains replaceable in my makeup bag/routine.
