This protein powder expertly combines whey protein isolate, micellar casein, milk protein isolate, and egg white protein for optimal muscle growth and recovery (BCAAs and all that extra goodness). The Rocky Road flavor is one of my all time favorite protein powders and is delicious. I love this protein powder because of JYM using high-quality ingredients and it tastes amazing. I’ve been using it alongside the “Shortcut to Shred/Size” workout programs from Jim.

First off, the flavor is great! The cost is keeping it from a 5 star. There are other great whey protein options that are cheaper. This one totes to be a better balance of the types of protein used, but nonetheless it’s not cheap.I’ve tried numerous protein powders and this one blends well as long as the water/beverage isn’t super cold. When it’s really cold, the powder seems to clump together a lot and requires more effort to blend. A blender bottle is a must have. The downside to the mixability of this powder is that it’s quite literally, powder. Like, it’s really fine. It will get everywhere if you’re not careful. And while we’re on the subject of getting it everywhere, do everything in your power to NOT spill this in your car. My laisseze-faire approach of tossing my gym back into the passenger seat of my vehicle has brought some pretty horrible consequences. When this stuff is mixed and then allowed to interact with fabric, it’s quickly absorbed. This is when things start to go south. If you have any experience with protein shakes, you probably know that the aftermath tends to smell terrible if left to sit for any period of time longer than 15 minutes. Now imagine it’s 95+ degrees outside. I had to wash my floor mat in the dishwasher to get it clean and I’m still trying to clean the seats. The cab of my truck has transformed into some kind of atrocious stink-pod. I’d rather smell the smog from other vehicles while sitting in traffic than keep the windows up. Febreeze doesn’t help. If anything, it just make the putrid smell mildly fresher (if that makes any sense). The point I want to make is DO NOT SPILL THIS IN YOUR CAR! All in all, it’s a great tasting and easy blending protein shake that I’d recommend to anyone looking to get their swole on.
Update: the last order I received had an odd taste to it, almost a burnt taste. The cost has also gone up $6…

The first time I ordered this on Amazon, it tasted like plastic, like it was sitting in a 110 degree warehouse for months before I bought it. This time recently I ordered again, it taste funky and completely wrong. When I buy this at GNC, it’s heavenly, it’s like suckling off God’s teat, but when I order it on Amazon is taste terrible. I recommend anyone who wants to buy this product to visit your local GNC, if you don’t have one, it’s more worthwhile to drive a few hours to get it than to order it from Amazon, save yourself. They’re clearly selling old containers of this stuff that’s sat in a warehouse for a year cause it’s just funky as can be.

While my batch did taste funny when I first opened it and used it, I made a discovery that may help someone else that has a batch that doesn’t taste quite right. I removed the scooper, closed the lid, then flipped the container upside down and shook it like crazy. I’m not sure why, but after doing this, it tasted normal again, and like it is supposed to. I can only speculate, but perhaps this product somehow has its contents separate over time of sitting in a warehouse, I’m not sure, but after shaking it as I described, it tastes great. Hope this helps someone.

This is best tasting and performing protein supplement I have ever used. I have tried almost 50 brands so far but JYM Pro is best. You can add just water and and still it taste like milk shake. It it thick, creamy, tasty and lots of proteins!!! Go for it.

I’m 53 and have taken dozens of different protein supplements. This is my favorite. The taste is far and away the best. At first I thought the concept of including tiny marshmallows in a protein shake was ridiculous. I drink it down in a hurry. But…it grows on you. I like it. It’s my favorite flavor but the vanilla is good as well. It’s a blended protein and if you do your research, it has everything you want. Mixes well with a shaker and provides a good amount of protein for the money. I love it!

For the first time i bought Pro-JYM, since I’m on holidays in India, I was worried about authenticity of the product. Icloudtail thank you guys and I trust youn now and i shall buy from you only whenever i’m here.
Secondly, about the product, the taste is awesome and beilive i don’t like choco flavor in anything. Kudos here.
Carbs 6gms i face the same issue with re-kaged as well.
Thirdly no lumps on mixing with water and dissolves quick.
I did a run-test, awesome, feels protein.
4 stars why ? Because there’s a PROP-65 warning on this product. I want to know why ? What is that substance, is it the ingredient or the packaging stuff that has PROP-65 warning issued ? Amazon/ ICLOUDTAIL/DR.STOPPANI EXPLAIN ON THIS PLEASE !!!

This stuff is excellent. Three salient points about this protein, specifically in the “S’Mores” variety:
1) The taste, in my opinion, is the best of the Pro JYM lineup. It is a great blend of rich and sweet, but not overbearing. The taste does remind you of the classic campfire treat – in liquid form.
2) Consistency and “mixability.” It is different than the standard fare of hydrolyzed whey blends in that it contains casein and egg protein, both of which never seem to mix perfectly…until now. In a protein shaker, I’m able to get a nice smooth consistency, free of chunks and undissolved bits. In a cup, mixing with a spoon, it doesn’t come out well. That being said, I think the type of consumer who buys this probably owns a shaker of some sort. If you wait 15 minutes before consuming, the mixture gets even smoother.
3) I don’t use these as a meal replacement; however, one shake is satisfying enough to fill me up for a couple of hours. The richness is perfect for the pre-bedtime hunger snack cravings, and the casein proteins digest slower than standard whey. End result? Extra boost of protein before bed without loading up on calories, carbs, and sugars. If you’re working a calorie deficit for your fitness journey, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at the filling properties of this blend.
