This product doesn’t contain pore-clogging agents like castor oil and grapeseed oil, it has the thin non-pore-clogging jojoba seed oil for moisture, and it contains antibacterial tea-tree oil, making it great for both beard care and skin care. I tried it out for the first time last night and not only is my normally itchy dry stubble soft and very comfortable on my face, but all the red inflamed acne around where my beard is supposed to be has shrunk and mostly healed overnight after using this product with the application of an acne spot treatment, AND I didn’t need to moisturize to avoid the dry flaky skin that sometimes comes with my spot treatment. Normally when I wake up my face is either so dry it flakes, or I try to moisturize and even the pimples I popped and bandaged come back overnight. Adding this stuff to my nightly routine strikes the perfect balance—soft skin and facial hair that is not oily and is acne-free.
If you have an anti-acne routine, this is what you do: 1. wash your face with your normal cleanser, skin under the beard included 2. Shampoo your beard or anywhere you want the beard to grow 3. Rinse the shampoo and lather conditioner on your beard area and leave the suds on your face for a minute or two 4. Rinse out conditioner and dry your face (after you’re done showering) 5. Apply a spot treatment to any acne, especially if it’s hiding in or under your beard 6. Check your results in the mirror the next morning to see how that tea tree oil is working for you
I’m very pleased to find a product that doesn’t make my face feel like crap because it caused even more cystic acne, and I look forward to seeing what this does for my beard in the coming weeks.

In terms of cleaning your beard, and leaving it soft and conditioned, this seems to work quite well.
As others have mentioned, this does have a strong pine sol/lemon pledge smell. It’s not a bad smell per se. But it’s more akin to something I’d clean my kitchen counters with. Not something I’d typically want to put on my face.
Again this isn’t necessarily a bad smell. And if you use a beard oil, it mostly covers the smell. Will probably get a different scent next time.

The first time I used a Viking Revolution product was when my wife ordered me the Sandalwood beard wash and conditioner and I absolutely loved it. In less than a few days I could already tell the difference, so when I had the opportunity to try the Tea Tree version I jumped at it. Now I’ve tried tea tree shampoo for my hair before and the products I’ve used in the past had a much different scent than Viking Revolution’s product here so it was definitely the only thing that I didn’t enjoy as much as the Sandalwood wash from Viking Revolution. Scent really all boils down to personal preference, however.
Now what really matters is if the product does what it says? Hydrating, CHECK. Soothing, CHECK. It’s great for me because I work as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the mines of North Georgia and my beard is subjected to all kinds of elements. Sometimes my beard is dried out and just looks bad after work. Sometimes those conditions effect my skin under the beard too, making it dry and uncomfortable. One week using the Tea Tree wash and conditioner and I can feel and see the difference not only in my beard but my skin as well. It’s a great product all around and my beard looks better than ever as a result and I haven’t had any issues with dry skin. Viking Revolution overall delivers great products that are packaged well and does exactly what it says it does. I’d be hard pressed to go to any other brand for my beard care needs.

I am super conflicted on this one because the wash and conditioner both work really well…but when I use it, I’m instantly transported back to Saturday mornings during my childhood when my mom would clean EVERYTHING in the house with Pine-Sol! Just had delivered yesterday. Was excited to try on my beard. I opened the container.. it smelled like lime jello… (Real rugged…). The shampoo did a decent job on my beard as did the conditioner.. but the scent was really disappointing.. I would have preferred no scent.. other than the scent the product seems pretty good.. but because of the scent I have given it the rating I have…
Day 2 of using- so the shampoo and conditioner do make my beard softer… however the scent reminds me a lot more like a medical version of lime jello… Im not sure how this scent is considered to be attractive… I will continue to use the bottle as I cant return it now and apply a scented beard oil on top in the hopes it gets rid of the smell. then I will have to continue my search for another product.. Id be interested to try one of their other scents.. but nervous to lay out the cash for it to find out they have a similar smell issue…
