I have a pit bull puppy and he is an aggressive chewer. Also have an older Great Dane. They really love these treats. I was hoping it would take them longer to eat the treats to keep them settled and busy. Also, it would help with their teeth. But my boys plow through them fairly quickly.

My dog loves the chicken wrapped with the bacon flavor but it was out of stock so I decided to buy this one. It smells really bad and it’s really hard for her to eat it

I still rated these a five star because all my previous dogs have always loved them. However, out of the three dogs I have now, two out of the three dogs don’t seem to care for them as much. The dogs that I had in the past would gobble them up and would dance around as soon as they saw them. One thing that I do notice is that over the years they have changed. They seem more oily and have a weird smell to them. When I used to give them to my previous dogs years ago that have since passed on, they never had a smell and they weren’t oily. I’m not sure if they’ve changed the ingredients or what. But these are definitely not what they used to be. One of my current dogs is a pitbull and she normally is a garbage disposal on four legs. There isn’t anything that I have found that she won’t eat. But she doesn’t seem interested in these which is a red flag for me. My other dog also isn’t interested in these. He is a hound doberman mix. And he snubbed his nose at it. My boxer girl seems to love them. I have found if I put them in the freezer that it masked the smell a little. Still very puzzling that my NOT so picky dogs won’t touch them.

Make sure you give only 1 maybe 2 a day .
Feel horrible for the reviewer that had dog go to vet .
Is it possible it was something besides the treat hartz has always been a well respected name in the pet community.maybe fed too much in a day to cause this idk but for my dog she loves these and they agree with her system she is a 80 pound. Pit bull they seem to have hardy intestines.well I’ll keep community posted but as of now these are the go to treats for us let us know if there are any other issues like the one .

My dog loves these, he’s a heavy chewer and finishes them off too quick so I put them inside a toy and he has to work to get them out. Keeps him busy and happy for awhile. And these do not give him any stomach upset.
