The SmartyKat Scratch ‘N Spin Carpet Cat Scratching Post with Spinning Wand Toys arrived late this afternoon and the wand toys are not up to my cats. Grace loved it and played with it for about 30-45 minutes until the orange feather on the wand started to fall off, then the string broke. I didn’t expect to last forever, but I did expect it to last longer than it did. If you cats are hardy players, don’t buy it.

My cats love this toy and have gotten hours if fun out of it so far. The orange feathers shed and get all over is only complaint. Sometimes my cats will knock this over but then they just attack it from the ground or sit on it. They both like to carry the feather in their mouth and walk around it. Good scratching post. My cats arent too big so size wise this works really well.

At some point we had acquired these 2 wand toys, unsure of where they came from or from what. But our newest cat fell in love with them instantly. And he’d played with them until they lost all the feathers and the ribbons were fraying. So I searched online to see if I could find something similar. I found this product. It’s the same exact wands he loves so much!
So I ordered it to try out. Our youngest cat is extremely hyper and always wants to play, which we obviously can’t manage 24/7.
He’s able to play with this on his own when we are busy or not home. With one of the additional wands that came with it, we added a shoelace and longer stick to play with him with. I’m able to run him up and down the steps and over furniture with it.
He also really like the scratching post it comes with. All of our other cats have preferred sisal rope posts, but he has no interest in those. Now instead of clawing at our carpet and the corner of our chair, he uses this one.
I occasionally spritz it with catnip spray too. It’s held up fairly well so far. This product is something I’d happily purchase again down the road when it wears out.

I bought this for my four cats but only two make good use of it. Two had rather use my leather chairs. And I have another one rope and they won’t touch it. I wish my other two would use it.

5/5… The only thing better would have been if the cat toys would spin using batteries, then they would have been epic!

My cat LOVES this scratching post because it’s got the right kind of carpet attached to it that he likes. He uses it all the time. I just wish it didn’t topple over and that it was taller. I have to put bricks or cement blocks on the sides to prevent it from falling.

This seems too small for my cats, but they both love this. They use it multiple times a day, and since they are large {but not huge) sometimes they are on their tummy clawing at it, but whatever, it keeps them busy and happy. I have bought this previously since they do end up tearing it up, but it’s the one cat post they use all the time, very helpful since they do have claws.
