I like how it looks in the tank. We Need a larger tank, but it works very well and makes the tank look great.

justo lo que necesitaba para un espacio amplio. no hay ruido mas que del agua cayendo, y muy práctico y fácil de echar a andar

I love the look, style and functionality of this filter. Looks so nice when in use. Can be loud depending on the level of water around it. However, beware….. soak the entire filter in warm water and scrub before attempting to use it. Tiny pieces of Styrofoam get stuck in places a normal wash out will not get out. The Styrofoam turns into a white slimy sludge and pollutes the water causing it to be cloudy. Not to mention the extra work of tear down cleaning and redoing an entire tank… save yourself the hassle and time.

The pump only worked for a few hours not even completed a single day. I found that the pump is 115V :)! While in UAE its above 200V.

I don’t know why but it just stopped working after just few hours. I did get my refund though after I returned it.

Really want to like this and its ok but in a short period of time, the finish is wiping off leaving a white finish which is apparently underneath the “rock like” look. Secondly the filter media is horrible for the design. Every two days or so in a new fresh tank with 1 baby turtle and clean water the filters , while appear clean, stop the water flow and cannot keep up with the pump. A quick rinse and it works for a day or two. The issue is the design. The pump simply expels whats in the center compartment (without creating suction) and water simply flows through the filter back to the pump cavity. The slightest obstruction keeps the flow from keeping up. I was about to return the whole unit and read where the Tetra filters were less expensive and worked better. I tried a pack and they are WAY better. They seem less dense and therefore let water pass through such that they can keep up with the pump. So far no clogs but a weekly rinse shows plenty of debris so they are filtering properly. I have decided to keep it and currently it is doing an ok job in a 10 gallon tank with 1 baby. Not sure it could ever support 55gal as advertised. (not due to the pump as it is pretty powerful, but due to the design as mentioned). Lastly the “basking” area is not for turtles but maybe lizards or something. No way a turtle could get up there its so steep. Maybe an adult could but then no room for it. I wish the finish was more durable and it sealed better so as to create suction for better filtration without the headaches of the filter media but it is what it is. As I said its just an ok filter and it looks cool (until it turns completely white when the rest of the finish is gone)

Works great! Set up is very easy. Keeps water clean and clear. I use in a 40gal breeder with 2 aquatic turtles and it keeps it crystal clear. Filters are easy to change out. Quite, as long as you keep up with the water level. Sturdy. So worth buying.

This is so much better than our filter that came in the turtle tank kit. Aesthetically and functionally.
It has two filters and takes in water at the bottom so I’m not struggling with keeping the tank at a certain level for it to be able to work properly. It’s so pretty and gives relaxing waterfall vibes. For the price!!! In love. We only have a 20 gallon but love that I can grow with this filter.

When I had just this one in the tank I was running into issues with it not being strong enough( it’s in a 20 gallon) but its also working for two turtles. There was also like this mold buildup problem happening in the filter and on the lid, I think it’s because I had the heater up to high. I lowered the temp and added a second filter and haven’t had a run in with the mold 🤞 it sounds really nice on its own but the other filter makes it so loud. It’s a beautiful structure too. It’s kind of hard to clean though there is just some places I can’t reach and I use baby bottle cleaners and toothbrushes. I don’t really know what would reach the bottom to get off the grime. It’s still a great filter. I’m just working it to death. It keeps the tank clean so I’m happy.

The filter is wonderful. This is our second filter as the first one started growing mold due to improper handling and cleaning. But as you can see in the video, the filter is beautiful actually looks like a rock and is extremely silent. Even in the quiet of the night you won’t hear the hum of the filter.
So far there has been no leakage even from the older worn out filter, it takes up very minimal space and the performance is amazing. It’s able to clean out a 60 gal tank with two dirty lovely turtles in it.

Expensive but really worth it.
I love the look of this filter. It serves its purpose and helps keep the tank clean. It is definitely larger than I expected the tank it is in currently is a 29 gallon tank and it fits great. It started off in a standard size tank which was a little tight. Since our turtle friends are babies it was not much of an issue however of you had bigger friends it might be beneficial in a larger tank. It is meant for shallower water it when has a min and max fill line which I am a little over. Intentionally because these turtles are a little on the smaller end and if the water level is too low the “water current” was a little much for them. They are able to climb up the rock face despite their size and bask on top happily and they are a good distance away from the light where I don’t have to worry about them getting burned.
Filters are cheap to replace!
Noise, like a small water feature nothing obnoxious. However if you don’t find a babbling brook, pond relaxing you might not want it in your bedroom.
