I have a very active parakeet. I have 2 cages for him and one has this product in it but the ball is solid with ridges on it for the bird to grab. My parakeet loved it so much I want to get another one. I received this one from Amazon and we excited to put it in the second cage because we were traveling. Within 2 hours of putting this in the cage and my pet playing happily with it he started squawking and flapping wildly around this item. I quickly realized his foot had gone through one of the openings on the ball and he was stuck and trying to rip his leg and foot back out. He was very lucky that he did not beak his leg and eventually got loose before I could get to him. I would be very careful when using this particular design. The other one I have has a white ball, look for that one!

Great size, budgie hasn’t used it yet but it takes him a while to try out his new toys once he does I’m sure he’ll love it, I try to coax him into playing by showing him and that seems to help!

It is very tiny and flimsy. My parrot easily cut the ball from the chain. This product it self is so small in size that the bird could not enjoy seeing the mirror. Waste of money. It is like a very small toy

Got this for my parakeet to have a new toy to entertain herself with, at first she just looked at it giving it the once over inspection. She slowly got closer and began lifting the basketball in the hoop and dropping it back in, she has since learned and bats it around for a bit then puts it back in the hoop. It has become her nightly routine to play some hoops before she’s ready to tuck in for the night. The quality of the product is about average, the chain could be a bit stronger as it’s on the thinner side especially if your pet bird is a bit rough it could easily break away from the basketball and the hoop as it hangs down on the chain that attaches it to the hoop. It is very cute and makes for good stimulation for my parakeet. Would recommend it but also suggest a bit of caution to observe how rough your bird is on it to be sure of safety.
