The suet feeders on either side don’t stay closed. The clasps are weak and loose, and they are easily defeated by squirrels – not to mention raccoons. I’ve even tried adding small clasps and other “MacGyver” type things to keep them closed, but the doors are loose enough that varmints can wiggle suet blocks out from the bottom. Maybe some sort of “wraparound” door, with clasps that actually go into the suet compartment in a C shape, two on each of the three sides of each door, would be sturdy enough? Not an engineer, but I’m really tired of losing whole blocks of suet noghtly.
The seed basket in the middle is huge – just the right size for a squirrel. It would help if it were about two inches narrower, to keep them out but still let in the birds. Maybe have two seed trays separated by a wall or something. I do like that it keeps seed dry, and that the tray has drainage holes.

Nothing wrong with the build quality. Design is a little weird. So far birds never land on those side suet holders. They land on my other suet holders that are just a regular square cage hanging from a rope. They must not appreciate the weird backwards angle.
Update – all of a sudden the birds don’t care about the backwards angle of the suet holder on the bird feeder. They are all over the suet cakes now! I have no idea why that changed. They are still on the vertical ones as well, and they all have the same kind of cakes in them. This is the same gang of birds that has been hanging around here for awhile so it’s weird that they all of a sudden love this bird feeder so much.

The birds and I actually both love this one because when it rains all the seeds stays nice and dry. From time to time I catch a really smart bird just hanging out in there eating when it’s raining! The suet holder is at either end do you need a little extra latch because the one provided doesn’t hold as well as it should but overall the thing is brilliant

It didn’t take long for my birds to find this bird house. It looks great and every kind of bird comes to it..big and small. It’s working out really well. You can’t go wrong with this purchase. Best hanging bird house i have found. Happy purchase!

I like that I can just dump out hulls and refill without taking the roof off. The suet took as while for the birds to discover, but now they eat the suet too.
I had to start using hot seeds because of the tenacious squirrels. Haha.
Feeder seems sturdy and looks really cute. Make sure u bend the suet closure enough to lock the door closed.

The suet container doors don’t secure properly. The suet falls out and the squirrels take and eat it. This has happened on both sides twice in only a week. Do not recommend.
