Quality rubber and metal. Never thought of having a little rest for hummingbirds while they eat, which makes way more sense because they burn through so much energy. I’ve had these for a few months, they are easy to clean. I just popped them on the different feeders I already had and it was easy to do. I love watching birds perch and fuel

I don’t usually post reviews but I’m so pleased with these little flowers, I wanted to share. I ordered the red hollyhocks to replace/cycle through the flowers on a couple of our feeders. The price was good, I like the color and flower variety and I especially like the perch. But more importantly, the hummingbirds LOVE them! We have two 6 oz. mason jar feeders hanging just outside a backyard sliding glass door and these flowers work perfectly. I specifically chose the hollyhocks because the edge of the flower petal shape looked like a good fit for those feeders, and it is. The hummers took to them right away, hovering at first, but it didn’t take long for them to discover the perch. I’ll admit, I may have been just a little overexcited when I saw one of our “wildlife pets” take a seat as he slurped down some fresh nectar. They take our hummingbird watching to a whole new level and give us a chance to really observe these amazing feathered beauties. It’s so entertaining to watch our regulars hang out at these feeders, looking around as they give their wings a break. They will sit for just a few seconds up couple minutes, sipping nectar and scanning the area. Sometimes another one swoops in and they both fly away then one returns to the feeder alone. I’m thinking about ordering another set of flowers, maybe the yellow ones, to give our hummers more options.
Overall, I’d say I’m very happy with this purchase. Ask the hummingbirds, I’m sure they’d say they’re extremely happy with the perches.

Perky-Pet recently started using these silicone-rubber-like flowers for their feeders. They are excellent, vastly better than hard plastic flowers (and I seriously hope that you aren’t using metal flowers – they injure beaks and can’t be sanitised properly). These take sanitation very well, are tough as heck, have the appropriate colour contrast and present a soft tube for the birds to use. The yellow ones are also easy to spot any fungal growth with, so these are my go-to flowers now for all my feeders. And the plastic perches come off if you don’t need them.
