Ordered this to house my two juvenile green anoles and I couldn’t be more pleased. It came with two hanging plants, a ground plant, substrate, water bowl and bendable vine. The vine doesn’t bend very easily and tore in one spot but it still looks great. It also came with an analog thermometer and hygrometer with sticky backing to place any where in the tank. The foam wall that it comes with doesn’t look cheap at all like I feared it might. I added a few of my own things to make it a bit more full but over all very satisfied. I haven’t had a chance to use the hood but it fits very well right on top. It makes for a very nice little habitat and great viewing on all sides. There were a few strings of adhesive where the glass meets the plastic structure but they peel off.

The enclosure was perfect. It was just as advertised my only gripe was with ups. They kept delaying my package everyday for about a week! Everyday it would say out for delivery but then never would show up. I finally had to call and really complain multiple times to finally they delivered it. Product was amazing but shipping not so much. Just an FYI.

I’m going to attempt to be as fair as possible in reviewing this, because while it’s a good tank, it wasn’t right for me. That being said, here are the pros and cons:
PROS
– The accessories that come with this kit are fantastic. I still use them, even though I no longer use the tank itself. It’s also one of the only companies that packages appropriate bedding in their habitat kits: this kit comes with a compressed coco fiber brick, which is a great, nontoxic substrate for most reptiles.
– Exceptionally well made. There were no half measures in the assembly of this tank, that’s for sure. It has all the necessary ventilation to insure your reptile gets fresh air flow, but despite the screen top, humidity loss was not an issue I faced with this tank. This is great as I used it to hold New Caledonian geckos (cresteds and gargoyles, not housed together of course), who require high humidity to shed properly.
– The 3D backdrop is gorgeous, and because it’s foam, you can cut small holes into it to brace perches or plants against the back wall.
CONS:
– HUGE. I never thought that would be a con but it is – referring back to me keeping New Caledonians in here, if you have one, I wouldn’t recommend this size unless they are completely fully grown and seem cramped in a smaller tank. This is almost a debilitating size for younger geckos, who will not be able to find their food.
– HEAVY. I’m not a wimp by any stretch of the imagination and I was incapable of moving this tank without assistance. If you are never going to move this tank after setting it up, you’re good. If you’re a student like me and you’re more likely to move within the next few years, you will have an absolute ordeal of a time trying to take this tank anywhere.
– The side walls are glass. This is really only a con because in my experience, geckos in particular feel more secure if they don’t have open space around them. Put some kind of tank background on the side walls or fit it somewhere that it’ll be surrounded on both sides.
In short: this tank is amazing. I can’t fault its construction, its attractiveness, or the quality of the supplies it comes with. However, I faced issues with its gargantuan size, the glass walls, and the heaviness of it. I ended up switching for a smaller, custom-made PVC tank, which has opaque walls and is much lighter. However, this tank still gets 4 stars because it is truly a great tank, it just wasn’t good for what I needed.

I ordered this habitat kit (size medium) last week for my new crested gecko and it arrived yesterday. I am speechless at how beautiful it looks! Exo Terra is known for their high-quality products and this terrarium kit is no exception – it not only included a terrarium with awesome features but also a host of things you need to get started (plants, jungle vines, water dish, plantation soil). The foam background looks very real and I love that it is 3-D so my Crestie can easily climb up it. The light fixture fits perfectly and works great, the top screen locks securely in all 4 corners, and I really love the easy front access with doors that swing open separately. The thermometer and hygrometer are just plastic, so I don’t expect those to last forever; however, they both work fine so I will use them for now. A complaint is that the jungle vine is very hard to bend and twist and was difficult to secure to the glass, since it doesn’t come with any means by which to attach it. It is made of cheap foam that flaked brown stuff all over my floor. Also, one of my plants came with a broken suction cup. However, these two negative points are nothing compared to how pleased I am with the terrarium overall, and the kit was a great deal! My terrarium looks just like one of those perfect exhibits in the reptile room at the zoo. I can’t wait for my gecko to grow big enough to live in this. The medium terrarium is the perfect size for an adult Crestie!

Arrived with one door shattered Remainder okay. Purchased for short term habitat for Iguana. Will attempt to cut and glue (critter safe glue) a cut to size piece of Plexiglas to area door was The broken door is not the seller’s fault I know, and I am pleased with what came included in this purchase. All well made and more than worth the price. I am not returning the habitat as Iguana arriving in two day. That anything from Amazon arrives broken is rare….only three items over the last 11 years. I recommend this purchase…
Update from above. I did hot glue a piece of Pexi-glass in place of the broken front door, and now have a temporary habitat for my hatchling green Iguana. The background provides additional surface for this beautiful reptile to climb and explore. He attempts to find an exit out of the top of the cage; the screened top has four locking tabs that are secure. I continue to highly recommend this habitat. For a small water loving reptile, it would be perfect, as the bottom 5-6 inches would hold water. Can not go wrong. Upgrade to 5 stars!

This terrarium is big. It came with one of the feet broken but not the end of the world. Still usable and very good size. I keep red eyed tree frogs in here (2) and they love all the space to walk/ hop around.
