perfect for my smaller terraium

I ordered this used in good condition, but the only thing wrong with it was a dented box corner! Arrived in brand new condition with original boxing and packaging, works amazing and does the job!

I really wanted to love it. I had an older Monsoon RS400 that I had previously used in my chameleon cage for years. I was trying to reprise it for a bioactive gecko tank to discover it had stopped working. So I opted to give the new version a try. The Monsoon Solo is extremely easy to program. It has an Onn, Off, or Cycle setting. The cycle setting you can program to come on at multiple hourly intervals for preset amounts of time, from a few seconds to two minutes at a time. The Solo had a much smaller reservoir than the Multi, but even coming on 4 times a day for 30 seconds each time still lasted over for days before being a refill. Distilled water is recommended to prevent mineral buildup in the nozzles.
It claims to be able to do up to two nozzles which is what I had set up for my tank. However, while it could do it, the water output wasn’t great and wasn’t as fine of a missing spray as I would have preferred. Ultimately I ended up returning it as it didn’t quite fit my needs. But if you only needed one misting nozzle and wanted something easy to install, this would be a great choice!

We ordered thinking it was same as the monsoon we already had that broke. It arrived and it was very tiny. This would only work for maybe a 2′ x 2′ x 2′ at most.

Pros:
– Mists things
– Decently powerful
– Easy to use
– Tubing that comes with it is nice and flexible
– Works with my Frog & Co tank
Cons:
– Small tank
– Only gives you one nozzle
I tried to use mine to breed tree frogs so they needed to simulate rain. It didn’t work, so I threw it on my dart frog set up. This misting system works great but the reservoir is way too small for my application. I have to fill it up every day.

Now that I have this I don’t have to wake up at 6 in the morning to spray my snake’s tank, the suction won’t stay though so i had to put flex tape on them so they can stay but make sure you have ports on your tank that you can put the tube through… I learned that the hard way.

Pulled the item out of the box… Filled it with filtered water with some Reptisafe, attached the nozzle to the side of the viv, ran the tubing out the back of the viv. Went to dig back into the box for the power chord and… nothing. Very odd and very disappointing. Not sure if the QC issue here is with Exo Terra or Amazon but that’s not only a let down but also a bit of a WTF sort of oversight.
And I thought for like two seconds, “did I just teleport somewhere and bring the power adapter with me?”
No. No I didn’t. I looked in every corner of my one bedroom apartment and there is no power adapter to be found. Just, odd and disappointing.
I’ll leave a complete review of a hopefully functioning product when the replacement arrives from Amazon.

I have 2 cockatoos and one of them expects me to mist a full spray bottle on him for his baths, which is tiring and painful. I got the idea to make them a misting station. I started looking around and saw that reptile owners were complaining that this sprayed like a spray bottle, which is exactly what I need! I also ordered a tray that goes under a refrigerator to catch the water so the floor doesn’t get soaked, and now they have a misting station! It works perfect! I set it up on a little cabinet in the bird room, and taped the nozzle to the side. I fill it and turn it on, and it sprays for .5 – 1 hour before running out. Once the birds aren’t afraid of it and actually go over there they will love it!
Debra Williams –
Easy to set up and use. The capacity is small but I use this for my crested gecko and also for a dart frog tank and it’s reliable. I check and refill every Saturday and it has simplified my care routine.
