We experienced some difficulty assembling this product in that some of the bc screw holes were a bit off. It was a little bit annoying. But, this functions as we hoped it would and it looks nice. We ordered a cover for this as well because this was ordered to replace our last unit, which rusted out. This item is fine, but be prepared for some level of annoyance assembling.

Puts off a good amount of heat with 5-7 feet. Looks really nice and like it’ll last. It takes a little time to assemble but I would say it was relatively easy and the instructions were clear. Looking forward to using it more in the winter but seems like a very high quality product.

Update 04/08/24: After evaluating my original unit I developed a problem and updated this review. The problem was with the regulator and it was leaking gas. I updated my review from 5 to 1 stars as a result. My complements to the vendor for completely rectifying the issue. The result is I now have a unit that functions perfectly. It means a lot when a vendor takes pride in their product and service and does the right thing. Thank you so much you’re back to 5 stars – Excellent. Original review follows:
My overall assessment is I really like this Vine request. It was easy to assemble, easy to cart into position, easy to use and most importantly the advertised safety feature worked.
First the safety feature. If the unit tips over it will turn off. I intentionally tilted this when it was on full blast and at around 45 degrees it turned itself off. When righted it would not immediately reignite, even when I used the igniter. I had to turn it off and allow the unit to cool before it would restart. Congrats to the vendor.
In terms of assembly you can see what others have to say but it took me, by myself, less than 30 minutes to get everything put together. All parts fit as expected. Tools are provided but I much prefer using my own.
Starting the unit is about as simple as it gets. Install a propane tank, strap it in and then push in the knob and turn it to high then press the igniter. Once ignited turn the unit to low and allow it to heat up before increasing the temperature.
In my test I decided to lounge on the back deck in calm conditions when the temperature was around 57 degrees. I was in a short sleeve shirt and jeans on metal patio furniture. I decided to sit on my deck for 15 minutes without turning on the unit. It felt cool, really cool and I found myself frequently looking at my watch to see if it was time to fire up the heater. I then fired the heater up and when appropriate turned it all the way up. After a few minutes it was very comfortable and I was no longer concerned with how cool it was. My metal furniture was still cool but I was not – as I said it was nice.
A note on mounting. I plan on wheeling this out (with the supplied wheels) when needed and using it when it’s either calm or very light winds. However if I were planning on a more or less permanent placement I would either get the sand box or screw this into some structure (the vendor provide 3 mounting brackets for this purpose but you have to supply the screws or other mounting hardware). No matter how dealing with mounting I did get the cover to keep bugs from setting up house during the off season (particularly mud daubers and wasps).
The attached video shows the unit on low after heating up and then turning it to high. At high it strikes a good balance between warm but not too hot.
I think I’ll get good use out of this.

Very well made, commercial-grade, stainless steel heater. Once everything is in place, it is easy to control the propane at the tank. Our heater started on the second try, and gave off wonderful heat.

How fantastic is it to have clear, understandable instructions for assembling something which is not complicated per se but which could be so, if the instructions were vague. There are of course many parts to this, but assembly is straightforward and can be done by one person, until you get to the part where you need to connect the three pieces together – it is almost imperative to have another person when fitting the top reflector to the burn mechanism so that the gas hose does not get damaged. If you are alone, you can rest the burn assembly on a workbench so that it overhangs a bit in space and then attach the vertically-held reflector.
Some other tips: there are 9 washers involved when you attach the reflector to the burn assembly – if someone is assisting, you may be tempted to rush and not realize that one washer goes on the top of the burn assembly and one goes above and another below the reflector. It is worth using proper tools to assemble this – the little supplied wrench (or even a regular wrench) does not do a good job and it is helpful to get someone with good upper body strength to tighten the bolts with a ratchet wrench and a drill. I was horrified when my husband, wielding proper tools, tightened every single bolt a great deal more, and here am I thinking I have done a good job!
One last comment: the hose is a just a tad short for a standard propane tank; we placed the tank on 2″ high piece of lumber to soften the kink.

This was easy to put to together. It came well packed with easy to follow instructions. The bottom part can lift up and sit on bars in order to allow you to put the propane tank in. It’s a really good quality. The heat was perfect for nights when there is alittle chill. Once it is put together it is easy to move around; it has two wheels on one side on the bottom so all you need to do is angle the heats and roll it around. Great performance and a good value.
