Works Great. It is alittle more CCA’s for my car but works just fine. I will update in a few months when I know how it handles my daily 3 mile, unmaintained dirt road drive.
Ross Stanton –
I liked the speed in which it was delivered, I hope it lasts a long time, I don’t want to go though all this again, time will tell.
Dany Champagne –
I bought this battery as a replacement for my old lead-acid battery. I needed AGM cause I do lapping events with my car and the lead-acid batteries are unsafe in case of an accident. Especially in my case, I’ve changed the location of my battery, it is now in the center of the passenger compartment, right on the floor. The battery was a bit low when I received it, but it’s probably just for sitting on the shelves for a while. Gave it a good charge at low amps for a couple of days and it works just fine now.

These are nice batteries but make sure you put a charger on them before putting in your car. They may arrive not fully charged.
James Harris –
Says rated 720 Cold Cranking Amps – it tested at 1060 Cold Cranking Amps!
My 2002 Toyota Corolla starts RIGHT UP in the cold, even WITHOUT pressing the accelerator pedal –
and THIS with a MISS on CYL 3.
I will probably also get one for my 2005 Dodge Neon.
If you have occasional battery issues –
BUY THIS FOR PEACE OF MIND!

Used it in my Tundra .

Fast shipping and great product. Item was delivered I’m no time, sufficiently packaged and worked flawlessly. It seems to have come pretty much pre-charged — I left it charging for a day anyway to be safe. Installation was straightforward. I was very happy that it includes the accessory to raise the height of the battery a bit, which I needed for my ’12 Toyota Sienna. Would definitely do business with again!

I bought one of these batteries seven and a half years ago. The original factory battery in my pickup lasted less than three years and was building huge corrosion forests on the terminals. The Optima battery had no corrosion buildup in over seven years. It continued to work well until a few weeks ago. I regard seven years of battery life as VERY good.
Yes, it is expensive, but well worth the money for knowing I can depend on it.

Optima contradicts it’s own policy on warranty. Amazon is an authorized reseller, but Optima says it’s not, and also says you can’t register the battery anywhere else except in the US. Do not buy Optima batteries, there’s no back end support, it’s all smoke and mirrors.

Like the different chemistry and the form factor, I had to replace an old battery on my Nissan Rogue. So far so good, I have only been using it for a month or so. Since the battery is a bit shorter than the original one I had to make adjustments to the holding bracket. I wish it came with some sort of tray or adapter to match the original battery height. Other than that it seems to be a great battery, I was able to crank in sub zero temperatures no problem.

Unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience purchasing this “premium” battery and therefore would strongly recommend against purchasing this specific battery or supporting the Optima brand in any capacity.
I purchased this battery on June 06, 2020 (Shipped June 09, 2020) and right at the 3 year, 2 week mark it complete failed (unable to take any charge). That is significant because the battery has a 3 year manufacturers warranty.
My vehicle is completely stock so no additional electronics drawing on the battery. Whenever the vehicle wasn’t in use for a period of time I used a 1 amp Smart charger which differentiated between standard, AGM and Lithium batteries. I did my part to properly maintain the battery.
On June 19th, 2023 my vehicle wouldn’t start. I used the previously mentioned smart charger to trickle charge the battery for the day but to no avail. I removed the battery the following day and took it to a local auto parts retailer where they tested the battery and determined that it wouldn’t take a charge at all.
In the following days I went back and forth between Amazon and Optima to determine how to submit a warranty claim. I must admit Optima had a very nice and professional customer service person handle my claim. She tried to put it through even though I was a few weeks past the 3 year warranty but unfortunately the claim was denied. I understand a 3 year warranty is a 3 year warranty but I was hoping Optima would go the extra mile and do the right thing. As a comparison, the Panasonic battery that was in the vehicle lasted over 10 years.
Based on this experience I’d strongly recommend against purchasing Optima batteries. I’ve had good luck with Interstate and Deka batteries and will be going back to them.

This is and has always been my go to choice of car battery. I have full trust that when that key turns, my car is going to sing to life. They have never left me stranded. The one thing I do dislike is when they do go dead, the go DEAD. There is no recharging, there is no repairing, no fancy charger is going to bring it back That battery is kaput. It’s a good thing it always get years of use out of it. Well worth the money.
Lawrence Ritchie –
the longevity of this battery in my other vehicle convinced me to purchase the same type of battery for my vehicle. when my prior battery went dead, i looked at the date on the battery and it only lasted 4 years. just enough time for the warranty to expire. i don’t want to spend $200+ dollars every 4 years for a battery.
