bought this battery for my Sons Grand Cherokee the vehicle was getting repaired at the time and so the battery was not actually installed in till this month the shop said the battery holds no charge and needs replaced. Amazon said because I’m out of the return. There’s nothing they can do and I had to contact Odyssey directly. Siix phone calls later I was able to finally catch the warranty representative in her office although I have left 5 voicemails and one message with the operator which the representative stated she saw the note on her desk she still never return my phone calls and I was just lucky she picked up the phone on the sixth call. So after 5 days have been lost trying to get ahold of the Odyssey Warranty Representative; she informs me that I must take the battery from the repair shop to an AutoZone and leave it for 24 to 48 hours so that they can test it in order to “start” a warranty claim. She said they will then decide what they’re going to do and if the battery should be covered under warranty??? The operator told me that it would take 7 to 10 days for a battery replacement to be sent to me. Judging by the performance so far I’m figuring another week to find out if the defective battery is covered under warranty; then 7-10 days for a replacement to be shipped. So at the end of a projected three-week time frame since the shop told me (my sons truck has all new suspension) that the brand new Odyssey battery I gave them was no good. They tried to charge it, and they want to know how long it will be until I can bring them another battery so that I can pick up the truck.
Odyssey batteries were supposed to be unbelievable that’s why I paid an extra $150 over comparable battery; so I would never have to worry about my son’s vehicle not starting. At this point I’m about ready to eat the $300 I paid for the battery and just go buy one from Walmart instead of jumping through all these hoops. If they don’t cover it under warranty I sure as hell won’t be buying another one from them or Amazon anyway. I am self-employed and very busy; which is the reason I purchased the battery through Amazon. Although I hate to waste the $300; Odyssey batteries has made this entire process much more of a pain than it’s worth.
I am now waiting on a call back from the Warranty Reps Manager; to see if he can actually complete the warranty task I started calling (days ago) for. I don’t know if Mary the Odyssey Warranty Rep was having a bad day; but I’ve never been treated more like a scammer in my life.
Worst customer service experience ever. Battery NEVER WORKED.

I have a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado with the 500 engine as my daily driver. It has been modified to increase horsepower. This is the most powerful battery available and provides reliable and easy quick starts. If you have a big engine, this is the right battery for you. This is my second one. My previous Odyssey 65-PC1750T lasted 7 years. It never once failed me. This is the best insurance you can buy, and it will improve the life of your starter.

This battery is well worth the cost! The OEM batteries typically lasted me 2-3 years. Went through 2 of those, and the nasty thing with the OEM batteries is that they both suddenly died with very little advance signs of something being wrong. I remember that my last OEM battery showed some hesitation at lunchtime. Then I got stranded later the very same day. Not with the Odyssey. At 6 years, 9 months of use, my first 65-PC1750T started showing its age. When starting the truck, I noticed a slight hesitation but it always started. After noticing this for a few weeks, I was getting convinced that the battery was about to go out, so I ordered a new one and replaced in order not to risk getting stranded. (Sure enough, the new battery made things normal again). Looking at the manufacturing date of the old 65-PC1750T, I noticed that it was exactly 7 years old! Pretty good for a battery in a daily driver. (I have another Odyssey in my Viper Roadster that I installed at the same time – 7 years ago – and it’s still working flawlessly, but then again, that’s not a daily driver and it’s on a battery tender).

Amazon says it doesn’t fit this truck, but it absolutely does – like a glove. As for power? HAHAH It literally makes me laugh.
STORY TIME!
Right when all this Corona virus crap hit in the initial wave I had to change apartments. One week before the actual move out date – truck’s dead. I went to the local shops and none of them had this battery in stock on the shelf; had to order. None of them could get it to me faster than ordering direct so…here we go.
Ordered. Arrived. Swapped it in for the crappy factory battery. Cranked up faster and stronger than it ever had before and running strong ever since. I do not suspect I’ll have any problems….in this lifetime or the next….with this battery. LOL
Excellent battery. Will buy again. 100% recommend.
