These Griot’s Garage Micro Fiber Chenille wash mitts are fantastic!! I have been extremely impressed by the quality of these mitts.
1. Different colors are nice so you can use different mitts for upper/lower part of the car.
2. MF Chenille will not damage your paint and works great in a 2-bucket wash
3. The mitts can absorb a ton of water/soap so you can wash large sections of the vehicle.
4. The mitts fit nicely on the hand and I do not have issues with them falling off, spinning, etc.
If you are looking for a quality wash mitt then look no further. I have compared to other MF wash mitts (non-Chenille) and these blow the competition away in this price range.

PERFORMANCE ON THE CAR’S PAINT:
They are a softer kind of wash mitt, meaning I wouldn’t use these on a muddy truck with all those chunks of debris.
If you want something soft and can hold a lot of suds, is easy to clean then this product will pay for itself.
It is very soft on the paint. As thick as it is, it grasps and holds onto “dirt” on the car, yet it doesn’t push down this dirt on the paint. This gives me confidence when I am washing my car. Other wash mitts that are less “plush” and have a rather flat surface, will push all the dirt it gets into your paint (if that makes sense).
Alternatives:
You’ve probably seen similar looking Wash Mitts (microfiber chenille) at your local autozone or orreily’s but those are less thick. I’ve tried them and noticed that there is much less density and number of “strands” per inch (similar to counting the bristles per inch on brushes). They’re worth $4-5, but the cheaper versions do not perform proportional to their price.
Griot’s Garage 10268 Micro Fiber Chenille Wash Mitts are better because they will last longer and perform way beyond their price, even when compared to cheaper alternatives.
What about alternatives at the same price? Currently, ChemicalGys offer the same product at about the same price. At the same price, are they better or the same? Idk because I haven’t tried them. I haven’t needed to buy one from them because the 2 Mitts I have right now have lasted months, through many washes and on many cars.

This product was horrible and left microfibers all over parts of my truck that I cannot remove it from. It’s falling apart on the first use and I couldn’t get it off the tailgate or bed protector. Just wish I had used it before the return window expired.

Griot’s is one of only a few products I will let touch my car and these mitts are another fine example of quality. If you care about your car Griot’s is for you. Prevent swirl marks with microfiber and by using proper technique. They have videos showing you how to wash the right way. It doesn’t really take any longer to do it right. These mits hold a surprising amount of wash, you can wash them after, and they hold up great. I use one for the top 2/3 and one for the bottom where most dirt collects. I catch a lot of car shows so my car is washed every week or more and it looks better than the day I bought it.

I love this mitt. After trying out generic chenille wash mitts , I wanted to switch to just microfiber. But saw this and I know griots stand behind their products , I decided to give this a try. It really depends on the quality and this has quality. There are more chenille “ hairs” here and it absorbs more water and incredibly soft. And also this rinses pretty easily. Just a few dunks in the dirty water bucket , the dirt is gone. Also there’s a lining inside the mitt I guess to prevent hand from soaking in the shampoo chemical.

These wash mitts hold up very well. I’ve had them for about two years now and wash my car around once or twice a month and haven’t had any problems with them losing color or with fiber falling off. They hold water well and the microfiber does not scratch my car at all. Wring it dry and throw it in the wash, the dirt from your car comes right off!
The only knock I have on these mitts is that I wish they had a smaller size as the mitt tends to fall on and off because of how large they are and the elastic isn’t tight enough to hold onto my wrists. I’ve been forced to use it like a sponge more often because of it sliding off my wrist when washing the car.

If you have a car with a good paint job and you wash it yourself instead of taking it to the carwash I recommend these microfiber wash mitts. I dont think anyone wears them over their hand while washing their car so I am not sure why they make them like this. I hold it like you would normally hold a spong when washing a car and you can flip it over to the other side. It makes sense to me but whatever floats your boat. The microfiber is soft and easy on the paint yet durable to clean and get the job done. Its much better then a regular sponge or the lambs wool. It holds a lot of soap and water and makes cleaning easy ans less trips to the bucket.
