Super easy install. May have taken an hour after routing and zip tying wires and seat off and on. I ran it with red and orange wire to +battery and black to -battery. I have to remember to turn it off. It is mounted on a 2017 Heritage. I can still get to my windshield bag. Small but loud. Can hear at 80+ with python exhaust. Not a quiet bike. Well worth the extra expense from the lower priced ones. Had old harley setup on it and this is way more with easier controls.

I had researched a lot before settling on this Kuryakyn Road Thunder Soundbar for my 2015 Harley Davidson Road King. The installation was pretty straightforward aided through the help of YouTube videos. The instructions the speaker came with were not very helpful due to the lack of diagrams.
I am extremely pleased with the sound from this speaker! It’s very clear and loud. Having a windshield helps but riding at any speed up to 70 and I experience plenty of clear music for me and my passenger. This is just what I expected and what I wanted for Harley!

For $299 you get what you pay for – the quality of the speaker/technology is good. At slow speeds it’s extremely loud, at highway speeds I have it turned up completely, and it could be louder. But for the price, the sound, and technology, like I said are decent. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because the handlebar clamps and hardware. As mentioned in other reviews the metals are soft, and in my case didn’t line up perfectly. Aside from that, the sound bar is probably as good as it’s gonna get for the price, and bypassing needing to install an amplifier, separate from speakers.

This sound bar was mounted in the middle of my bars (vstar 1100) and fit perfectly with the windscreen. Easy to reach controls while riding, usb for stick or to charge phone. Bluetooth from phone is flawless. Sometimes has issue reconnecting after a stop (like pullover for gas) but is almost always the phone’s dissconnect, not the soundbar. Sound quality is highly dependent on your source material. Songs of lesser quality will not be as loud as you might need with pipes, but with a quality music source it rocks! It is loud enought to hear over pipes. Clear and crisp.

Sound is good quality and loud.Quality ofDownloads makes a difference and a quality cord if not using bluetooth.I have a Heritage Softail with straight pipe fishtails with no baffles and i hear it on highways .The clamps needed rubber put under to prevent movement.

Had a buddy that bought the Boss speakers when I bought this and he’s already blown the speakers within the first couple months and this thing is still blaring and awesome My wife usually tells me to turn it down when she’s on the back. I’m on a cruiser with a windshield And I can still hear it at high speeds well enough to be jamming out. The install was so easy

I had high hopes, received it today upon install I seen one of the mount hold was stripped and would not accept the very very cheap china screw, the brackets seem very nice the speaker housing itself feels really nice but the hardware is the cheapest of the cheap very soft Allen head screws. Took some time to I stall on my Harley connected to my Bluetooth and nothing I hear some fait white noise from the speakers and that’s it. All that time wasted for something that’s msrp over $400 I would expect some better hardware and quality control. But that’s what happens when companies outsource to different countries specially china you get terrible quality. I wouldn’t not recommend which is sad because it looks nice if only it had worked and the craftsmanship was up to par with the price of the speaker.

When they say you get what you pay for they didn’t mean this product. Purchased it as a gift for my girlfriend bike season finally came around we installed it had problems right from the beginning with it. Because the window for returning to Amazon was over they told me to contact the manufacturer.at info@kuryakyn.com. The person that responds to you gives one sentence responses basically we don’t fix them talk to Amazon. Amazon finally agreed to take it back minus a 100 plus dollars better than a kick i* t** a**. By the cheaper sound bars the last longer and probably sound better

I did quite a bit of research before buying (at half price – Thanks Amazon!) the Kuryakyn Road Thunder for my HD Road King. Great sound is preserved through use of windshield at highway speeds. Easy to Bluetooth Apple Music, Pandora or Spotify. Highly recommend!
