Don’t get me wrong I am a multitool lover like any other but when I saw this one I had to order it and see what it was all about. The small nail puller and hammer head were the biggest appeal to me since I am often needing to start or drive in smaller brad nails. From my daily experience the tool does the job but is just a bit too big and clunky to want to tote around in the included holster all day. All materials seem to have held up better than expected but I will update my review after another few months of testing.

Maybe because the closest activity to camping I normally do is a meet up in the park I can see very little use for this. Opening crates that came delivered? Maybe. For that matter, I feel that I would use the screwdriver in the tool only as the last resort, so uncomfortable it is to hold.
The hammer and pliers – ok, useable.
Honestly, all the “blade” components are also a bit too tight. Without frequent use they would stay too tight.
Another concern is that from far away, both if it sits in a drawer, bag or on a belt, the case looks (and sort of fits the size) like an actual firearm holster. Something that can cause an undue distress to your coworkers (and to you when Security or PD is called to check it up).

This multitool from WorkPro is a different take on the category, swapping out the usual plethora of blades and screwdrivers for a limited selection and investing instead in a usable hammer and pliers. These have a satisfying latch that opens up to allow you to either use the center of the hammer as a nice pair of sturdy pliers, or to close it up to use the hammer as an actual hammer. There’s a fold out saw blade and a single Phillips and flathead screwdriver in the handle, too.
This is marketed as a camping tool and I think that’s accurate. I once needed to repair something on my tent with a hammer and ended up beating it in with the spare jack from my car; if I’d had this with me, it would have made short work of the problem. It’s a different purpose than the usual leatherman-style multi tool- you’re not going to disassemble all sorts of random stuff with this, as it’s much more of a construction and outdoors sort of selection of stuff.
The build quality is particularly nice on this. With the loss of Craftsman, there’s been a major gap in ‘affordable but high quality tools built to last’, and I’ve felt like all of the WorkPro products I’ve tried hav been a step above other generic tools, to the point where I’m starting to consider it a bit of a name brand for me now that I actively seek out. The metal doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy in any way, and I wouldn’t be at all embarrassed to gift this to someone.
This is a nice multitool and I’m looking forward to taking it camping with me next season. Until then, it’s already helped with several small repair jobs around the house. I’m a fan.

At first this multi-tool annoyed me because it was too hard to put the blades/screwdrivers/bottleopener parts back after opening. Then I realized that once it looks up (when you fully extend say, the blade) you can easily ‘open’ the lock back up by halfway extending a separate blade. Then you can close both blades. This was the easy way to do it.. Otherwise the unlocking/locking had annoyed the crap out of me.
Once I figured it out, this tool became my go to. The only thing I don’t use is the screwdriver because it doesn’t have much grip or weight to it. The hammer part and blade part I use all the time.

This thing actually works for light duty tasks, which is what it’s meant for. Small things like pictures or small to medium house projects that you don’t want to get the whole box of tools out for. The case is fine, but it could use better sewing on the belt loop thing. This is a great “quick grab” tool. I AM using it for several things now, like even cutting some stray branches. This is a very good choice for crafters to have on hand. I’m keeping this out where I can get to it quickly. It’s not big, but it’s good for quick projects. Sometimes I just need something to take care of instant fixes, this is PERFECT. I’m really surprised by this, and I should have known to get one sooner.
