Best guitar I’ve had…ever! Granted I’ve only had a couple and they were entry level, this one blows them away. Perfect playability, smooth, low action, great sound. For the price, I don’t think it can be beat. I love the pinless bridge feature on this guitar. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone.

the guitar arrived and looking beautiful. The action is perfect for me. The sound is wonderful. The guitar projects the sound well. The tone is balanced. Sadly, there is a short in the wiring. Something came loose in shipping or prior to shipping. Any hand impact on the face of the guitar results in a crackle – a loud crackle.

Five star guitar for the money! I was hesitant about buying a guitar without playing it first but happy I did. I have a 30 year old Taylor 414 and this guitar runs pretty much neck and neck with it. (Pardon the pun) I think it would be hard to find a better value. I had to adjust the neck a bit but a little set up is normal for any guitar. Once again great guitar. I recommend it.

probably was a great guitar but i returned it before i found out how to tune it properly. instructions on tuning would have prevented the return.

The Guitar arrived on schedule, but I have to admit I was a bit stressed when I saw the condition of the box it came in. To me it didn’t appear that very much care was taken with my package. Luckily the guitar was still in good condition which was surprising given the lack of protection around the guitar itself and the damage to the box. The guitar strings were terrible with a carbon residue on them. The intonation of the neck is sky jump worthy! I’ve never seen a guitar with so much space under the strings at the 12th fret. First job will be to change the strings of course but you know how it goes new guitar you want to tune and play out of the box right!! I’ll take the guitar somewhere to get the neck straightened just a bit I’m thinking. Still a great sounding guitar just not setup the way I like my guitars setup. Old figures like a softer touch and this came with d Addario exp16 light-gauge strings 0.12 to 0.53. Myself I like the strings in the 0.10 to 0.46 they have a little more give for old figures. Would I recommend it?? Yes it sounds great which is what’s important. With some small adjustments I think I’m going to love playing this guitar!

Tonality and play-ability of much more expensive guitar. It got handled very rough by UPS in shipment, the box was accordion’d and all the wires to the pickups were loose from their plugs from getting whacked so hard, just a slight chip in the guitar at the base. Also had to adjust the neck truss to bring down the action.

I’m a beginner and did a lot of research before settling on the Takamine GD30ce. I really really wanted to buy American, but to get the same quality as the Takamine (REAL wood, not glued laminate) would’ve set me back a few thousand dollars. The GD30ce is an absolutely beautiful guitar. I had been learning on a cheap pawn shop guitar so this thing is like a Mercedes compared to that. The neck on it is slim so it is a lot easier to learn the chords. If you are a guy with big hands, this guitar won’t work for you, but for teens and women, it is pretty great. The sound is very nice. I had compared lots of guitars and had toyed around with getting that Keith Urban learning guitar, the one that comes with all the DVDs because it looks so pretty. Then I heard one of them and it sounded like a tin can. This one is ranked as one of the best for beginners and it has a warm sound, and the price is not outrageous. I have not plugged it into an amp as of yet, so I can’t tell you much about all that, but Takamine is known for their good electronics, so I expect no problems. Aside from not coming with a hard case ( Musician’s Gear Hardshell Dreadnaught Case fits it perfectly) , there is little in the way of negative about it. I am more than happy with this guitar and would recommend it.

Action was too high. Thought I was getting an acoustic that would be fairly easy to play. Not sure if I can even have it set up to make it right for me.
