I used to play piano when I was younger, so I wanted to get something for my home that my kids could play and learn with that didn’t take up too much space. This is great! The sound and quality is very good. I’d definitely say it’s worth the money!

My son loves this set. It is everything he needs as a beginner player. The keys are regular size and the key board can be picked up (just a little longer) so be carful when moving it. The instructions are helpful and his is enjoying seeing what it is capable of doing. He loves it!

Wonderful sound from this digital piano. Easy to assemble. Fun to play. Lots of sound options. What a great value for what you get. Feels good under the hands. Love the slim design of the stand. Definitely recommend.

Pretty much the only thing missing is a bench for sitting on! With this piano, my granddaughters (ages 6 and 4) are all set to begin piano lessons – well, they’ll also need a piano teacher as I doubt that their mother has the patience to serve in that role! In all honesty, this is the most expensive item that I have ever received from Vine and I feel obligated to provide a meaningful review. So, I commit to updating this review as we use the piano more and more and experience its strengths and weaknesses.

While the package was somewhat heavy, it was nothing compared to a real piano and could be wrangled by one person alone. It was a breeze to assemble. Admittedly, our use will be but a tiny fraction of the piano’s features and capabilities, but even so, it is an economical entry to music lessons. I’m wondering if the headphone jacks providing privacy will appeal to a child practicing without fear of everyone hearing their mistakes.

    Now, let the fun begin….

As an owner of a Yamaha P-115, I decided to try this keyboard out. Having come from a higher end, but not quite high end, keyboard, I was disappointed in this one, but quickly put my perspective back into place.

Yamaha is a well renowned brand that produces quality equipment, but I had never heard of Donner.

The listing says ‘Beginner Digital Piano’, not like it’s an end all piano.

The economy at time of writing, has made everything more expensive.

With these in mind, here’s my review:

This digital piano looks and plays the part of a beginner instrument, but it does perform better than a child’s beginner instrument. The keys are weighted, albeit a little bit off from what I’m used to, but not so off that you can’t adjust to them. The texture of the keys are very matte, and you can feel the fake wood grain. This continues to distract me, but somebody just starting off, it might be fine. If you’re a texture person, you may have a hard time adjusting to a real acoustic piano. It is very light and can be easily moved around. The pedals are great, as usually at this price point you get a single or no pedals. The pedal board also folds out and has rubber feet to help with friction on non-carpeted floors.

Where this instrument loses a star is with the sounds. My goodness, the sounds sound like a child’s toy. The default 000 sound is “fine” at best. In my opinion, none of the other sounds come close to sounding like what they say they are. Personally, I would love the ability to upload my own sounds somehow or be able to fine tune or adjust them, but I know this is a “beginner” digital piano and that would never be required for them, though it does have USB on the back for playing with music and whatnot. I also dislike that it doesn’t come with a seat at this price point, but I know, economy is an issue. My list peeve is with the auxiliary jacks. Why are they 3.5mm? Why are they not 1/4″ auxiliary jacks? It’s so strange to me that they would switch from an industry standard size to this size, especially in an age where everyone is using bluetooth anyways.

Other than that, the instructions are great and I didn’t have any noise artifacting with my product. Can’t speak for the particle board frame yet.

I’m impressed with how easy it is to use, making it a great choice for my son. The weighted keys provide a realistic feel, which helps with learning proper techniques. Its portability is a bonus for our family, allowing us to practice anywhere. I’m excited to teach my son how to play on this fantastic instrument!
