Design and look of the Loam dropper is sleek and visually appealing. There are clear measurement markings on the post, for easy reference. Adjustable air pressure (to control how fast/slow the post “pops” up) and the ability to service the post yourself are great options. The tool-less travel adjust is also great so that you can tune the height to your specific needs. There are different color silicone bands available to purchase if you want to color match to your bike.
Lifetime warranty is awesome. Hopefully I never have to use it.
If you do any type of jumping you are going to need a dropper post, unless you don’t mind the seat post all up in there.
Only downside is that there is no cable or cable housing included with the dropper. This is the ONLY thing I had an issue with.
Just for reference:
I am 5-10” 230 lbs. I installed the Loam dropper post myself. It went on a Giant Talon 2 hard tail (30.9mm post / 125mm dropper) with a bit of elbow grease. The Loam was paired with the PNW Loam Lever remote (cement gray). Don’t forget to do the proper measurements on your bike at the PNW website (dropper post calculator) so that you order the correct size/height dropper post. This is super important.

Love this seat post. Needed a dropper and wanted to take the edge off. Not a ton of travel and if not set up right will pogo a bit. Once I got the air pressure right – all is good. I ride with gravel 2.2″ and it smooths out the small bumps and ruts. I also ride Schwalbe 2.6″ for trails and it compliments the larger tires with lower air pressure over rocks and obstacles.

Works very well. Yes has play. But nothing out of the ordinary.

This replaced the original dropper post on my 2016 Giant Trance Advanced. It’s a tad lighter, and it connected right up to the existing cable. HOWEVER, the PNW unit is shorter than the OEM unit, so I had to reposition the thumb lever further away from the grip, which is a bummer. I’m too lazy to install new cabling…

While not as smooth as the Fox Transfer, this dropper is easier to maintain, is adjustable, and well built. Doesn’t drop as smoothly for the initial part of the stroke but pops up super fast and is reliable

This is my second loam. The first is still working like new after two years with almost no maintenance. I expect this one to be the same. A great dropper at a very fair price.
Marx Opinion –
Love my Loam posts. This is my second. The adjustment is very nice to get the post all the way slammed on longer seat tube frames and getting maximum travel. I have had great luck with all of PNW products.

Excelente dropper le puedes regular la velocidad de subida y los materiales muy buenos

It looks very clean mounted in the bicycle, and it has an almost imperceptible play side to side but I think it’s an expected behavior. Easy to mount with the online manual and a couple of videos
