We like it, but from what I read you should have it tuned and serviced. I wrote the seller and never heard back. I don’t know how to get it serviced. I wish I had purchased in a store where I could get help.
Italo –
ok let me start sayin that it’s not a professional instrument, but i needed for practice, cuz i live in an ape and i really dont need much sound for the livin room, so it doesn’t has much sound, as it is for stufy, but for study is optimal, to practice reading, time-in, tap, single and double, the light rosewood gives a much better idea of what you can spect in a professional xilophone, also i am bein very carefull with the sticks i use, cuz for a harder stick i has not much response, is more like for a medium sticks or maxium medium hard, and the lo five notes from B to F it really loose the natural of the note, so i think it can be fixed switchin the range of profundity in that specific place, but didn’t try it
hahahah
any way with a hard stick it sounds wooddy xtreme, what can i say i’m using medium sticks and the practice sticks of innovative in this particular instrument, then when i pass for a professional xylophone i switch and see what stick is better.
then why 4:
1.- is difficult to give a 5 over 5 to any instrument cuz they aint usefull for everything or everyone
2.- for study pratitures practice lecture and tecnice is very cool, i like it, i use to practice every excerpt here before play in the orchestra
3.- the sound of 3 octaves form c to higer c is pretty good and that low notes by now i think it more like a reference, cool to read
4.- not every practice instrument has this range
5.- i think is light wheight ( anyway it doesnt go anywhere, it stays on the livin room)
6.- that x behin the instrument could be less heavy and more practical, i’ts very an unusual adjustement system, as i said it doesnt look to be meant to move everywhere
7.- two of higher notes are a little little bit high pitch, but it’s just an observtion, i’ll see in a weeks from here if i adjust the afination
and that’s all.
good practice
